Seven matches into the Russell Martin Revolution and his defenders are being compared to a circus act.
Same Old Alloa scored twice at Ibrox yesterday to underline that very little if anything has improved since last season despite the brilliance of Martin’s coaching being mixed with the cutting edge analysis of 49ers Enterprises.
In central defence for the visit of Alloa, Martin decided to pair Manny Fernadez and Nasser Djiga which brought back flashbacks of Danny Wilson and Rob Kieran Vintage 2016.
With Motherwell starlet Bailey Rice at left back and Valencia misfit Max Aarons on the right in front of captain Liam Kelly what could possibly go wrong?
Rangers football club are gen up a circus act?

Djiga was cleanly tacked in the centre of the pitch but chose to stay on the turf, Rice was turned over as if he was a teenager playing in an alien position before the real comic cuts begun.
Joe Rothwell raised his arms to block a shot, the rebound fell to an Alloa player whose shot was cleared on the line but struck Rothwell and flew into the net.
Not even Greg Aitken on VAR could find a reason to disallow the goal.
Leading 3-1 with 10 minutes to go there was another defensive howler as Alloan scored again before a stoppage time goal from Curtis Finday delayed the inevitable chants of ‘Martin, Martin Get Tae …’
This is the 80th minute btw and rangers winning still nearly an empty stadium ? just look at the amount of seats near that away end and that’s just that wee block still got more blocks like that aswell ?

I have seen more life in a tramps jacket than there was in that game yesterday.
But I will say one thing though,we better hope they don’t qualify for the big guys playground, because if they do,they will spend the majority of that £40 million bang bangs on more players, comedy defending or not.
They won’t spend the majority Joker – They’ll spend the whole fuckin lot and more…
The bastards have played shite v Alloa but they have the jammyness to fluke it v Brugge, I’ve no doubt about that for sure…
And then as you say – There may be trouble ahead !
Martin talking about another clubs player! That’s very poor, you simply don’t do that. Meghoma!?!? Who knows?? 19 so career ahead but he’s a Brentford player. You don’t do thst
Plenty empty seats there – For plenty empty heads to fill !
