A passionate group of Celtic fans quickly got together last night to have their say on the state that their club has slipped into.
Despite the trophy haul driven by Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers Celtic remain on the fringes of the European game, enjoying an occasional glimpse of the big time before reality returns with disappointment in Europe.
Last season was the first time in over a decade that the hoops have won more than once in the Champions League, any thoughts of progress were killed off in Kazakhstan after a blast of asset stripping by Michael Nicholson.
The defeat from Kairat Almaty and the deliberate weakening of the squad pushed many fans over the edge with 99.3% of those surveyed voting to remove Nicholson as CEO.
The vote doesn’t carry any authority but it is an indication to Nicholson that outside of his tiny corporate circle there is no faith in his ability as Celtic CEO.

Should Michael Nicholson be sacked as Celtic CEO?
No, trust his strategy
Yes, the sooner the better
At least on this website Nicholson has slightly more approval!
It is now four years since Nicholson replaced Dom McKay as CEO, in that time he has been involved in just one media interview, alongside Brendan Rodgers and Peter Lawwell when the IrIshman returned as manager in June 2023.
After last night’s meeting a course of action will be decided on with a string variety of options aired ranging from using the £140 for Europa League tickets to buy shares in Celtic to forming a huddle at home matches and chanting to sack the board.

Nuno Espirito Santo lined up to takeover from Brendon.
Good luck with that, these greedy B******S will double down with their arrogance.
Even Nicholson popping up in Epsteins files still couldn’t shift him from his position, probably find out at some point he hangs about with Mandelson.
I told you all before about him, something of the NIGHT about him,he’s a dark strange guy.
Very odd comments on a football forum.
Lets park that nonsense right now.
The guy isn’t a productive CEO in that he cannot negotiate to bring players to the club prior to selling our top assets.
Lets just focus on that.
Get Nicholson and fat boy out as soon as possible
yeah a huddle singing sack the board ,aye that’ll force change
ffs who comes up with that crap and gets listened to if this was put forward during the old boards reign they’d still be in power , the only weapon in the support has is with holding european ticket money and more importantly embarrassing the board around the world
I’m considering this but the irony is the club will probably make more money if season ticket holders boycott the European matches because season ticket holders get a discount.
Non season ticket holders have to pay full price. The only way this would have an effect is if about twenty thousand or more boycott the matches.
Knowing our Board however, they will just use this as an excuse to sell another couple of players to protect the “rainy day” fund.
Editor…You bang the same drum over and over…So for clarity…I’m NOT objecting to protest…as you should well know by now…I’m objecting to this particular method…What the hell does it mean ??….Why is coming in late going to make the slightest difference ?… The Board knows by now the feelings of the support…so why not get in on time and boo them as they take their seat… ??…Would that not have a better impact ??….Looking forward to your response.
Editor: Enjoy your objections, each supporter is free to protest in any way that they wish, if you have a better idea I’m sure it will catch on. The directors will hear a few chants that are very personal to them, don’t worry about that.
I’ve just read ..that there’s a proposal for the travelling support to ” miss ” the first 10 minutes of the Killie game ??….Need to ask…What the feck does that prove ??.. Our players run out to no support …and play for 10 minutes that way..??…Stupidest suggestion I’ve heard in years.
Editor: Do you not think that selling your best players like Kyogo and Kuhn and not bothering to replace them is a bit more stupid than fans protesting at a match live on Sky Sports.
I’d be amazed if the Board need any more reminding of their unpopularity…They will have got the message by now…It’s the mechanism for getting them out is my priority…Can they ” be sacked ” ..??… I don’t think so…unless someone knows different. So what happens next..??…Now that is the question.
I believe making it as unpleasant for the Board as possible within Celtic Park is the best way forward.
Constant verbal harassment within the ground forcing them not to attend.
If they cannot attend games then that would really drive the issue home.
Totally agree, that is a stupid suggestion, miss ten minutes will be miss the whole first half with massive queue at turnstiles and arguements, and fight breaking out. Killie or the cops could also lock everyone out on safety grounds but that would cause a lot of trouble. Then there’s the old and infirm to consider. I hate the boardroom parasites but won’t be doing that. The point is to bring the fans together in protest against the board not split us. Protest through making a lot of noise against the board at away games and keep the rest for home games.
