9. If I was BR, assuming all this did actually come from the top brass as is being alleged as Celtic have yet to comment on these allegations so fingers cannot be pointed just yet, my first move would be to resign and instruct my my brief to head to the courts or, if applicable, a tribunal,

   If these allegations go on to be unanswered then BR’s reputation, judgement and employability will suffer significantly, He needs these comments to be substantiated or be given an equally public retraction and apology if they cannot be.

   As James Forrest highlighted, in a recent article, the main fear the Celtic support faced was the absence of a coordinated vehicle to convey the feelings of the fans and show the Board the fans are united in their anger over the shambles of the transfer window, all the previous European debacles plus a host of other issues

   James says that, that vehicle being organised by the North Curve inc CSCs etc is now in place. The first action should be, when the allegations are clarified, a clear statement that we are all rallying behind BR if he is continued to be painted as the villain of the piece unfairly.

   Obv we are not privy to the internal goings on at executive level within CP so we just don’t know. In any other industry if mgmt feels an employee is acting as alleged then the employee would be alerted to the issues and it would then be managed by the company’s formal disciplinary process, not laid bare in a national newspaper as seems the case.

   There is a justifiable assumption that the reputation of Celtic will take a further hammer blow from these very serious allegations.

12. Celtic winning another treble and a seriously long winning run in the EL under Brendan Rodgers ! Is this is what ‘ the greys ‘ of the board are petrified of ? 13. The board are only interested in self preservation. They have went beyond the behaviours we would expect from Celtic Directors over a long period now. Telling lies to AGMs and supporters, winding up playing staff, threatening the day to day success of the club with their low balling and disrespect for other clubs and snide remarks,comments and personal attacks against anyone who doesn’t sing from their hymn sheet. They will probably have the cheek to roll up at the charity match today for a free dinner. Brother Walfrid must be turning in his grave. Is it any surprise they reached the bottom by using the Sun to put the knife in further.
    Sack the board
    Don’t buy the newspapers.
    Don’t give either of them a penny.

14. The way I see it is that the board are at fault, firstly appointing Lennon, losing TIAR and then bring back Brenden were there seems to have been unsurmountable history.

    Having said that neither of these parties are bigger than the club, founded by Brother Wilfred in 1888.

    The board won’t invest in the team as they don’t trust the manager ( my belief is they want Ange back) and the manager is not playing his best team and tactics to spite them so why are people even taking sides.

    Playing a midfield of Macgregor, Engels and Hatate is sabotage and nothing else.

    They are both wrong.

    We should be looking for a solution that is best for Celtic Fc and Rodgers should go and while the means look wrong they will eventually be justified by the end, if I can paraphrase.

    Both parties should GTF for the damage they are doing to the reputation of the club but money, as the saying goes, doesn’t talk but swears so unless someone buys out Desmond then the board are going nowhere despite the protests.

    The only other thing is a complete walk out until they leave and is that going to happen?

    1. Ed You cannot defend that midfield with MacGregor playing defensive midfield when he would be more of a threat playing forward.

       Hatate doesn’t have the concentration and a superb goal or pass every 5 games does not justify his inclusion in the team.

       Engels maybe needs better coaches, that latter seem to get a free ride.

       As far as forums are concerned I only read your and The Celtic Blog. The pretender across the water was very silent during the run up to the Sevco takeover so kind of lost faith he had the ins he claimed.

       Editor: Focus your criticism on the guilty men, those in the boardroom. They have undermined the manager at every turn. Nicholson is trying to sell everyone off, Lawwell briefing his messengers to trash the players at the club because neither of them have the minerals to do what they want to do and sack Rodgers- they are trying to undermine him at every turn.

       Anyone coming into Celtic knows the score, the negativity spreading from the boardroom so suggesting changes to the midfield is cosmetic and pointless. While Rodgers is at the club the sniping goes on, when next season’s puppy manager falls on his face that will be Rodgers’ fault as well.

       On what basis does McArdle come into the team- have you missed the Lowland League results- hammered by Linlithgow Rose and Bonnyrigg Rose. No player will ever move from the Lowland League into the Celtic first team.

       1. This might get me banned but I have had poetry published and have had to produce material to a deadline so I know what it takes for you and others to come up with new and interesting input everyday.

          Here’s my point, I believe you and others expend more energy, concern, love if you will for Celtic football team, as Tommy Burns would put it, than MacGregor sashaying about a park on a Saturday afternoon kicking a ball 3 yards and then pointing to what should be done with it.
          A job he is very well paid for and for the most part a job that lasts 90 minutes on a Saturday and the occasional mid week game.

          If you want my opinion on the bigger picture the board are part of an economic entity called the “O*d F**m” and that is to be protected at all costs.

          1. to answer your question, not his fault. The second chance he got he was asked to replace MacGregor in the holding role, one for which he was supremely unsuited. He was then papped out into the darkness.

             I am not great at tactics but there have been 4 players I only had to see once to know they would be great,

             Larsson- even though he cost us a goal he was a breath of fresh air.

             Kevin Tierney- walked passed defenders as if they weren’t there and putting in inch perfect passes.

             John Kennedy- whom I would say was a s good as Van Dyke- laugh if you must.

             The 4th one -Sean McArdle who will go on to great things somewhere.

             Editor: It will require a miracle for McArdle to make it after being in the Celtic B team in the Lowland League for three seasons.

             Lennon Miller knew what he was doing, as did Aaron Hickey.

             Also, somewhat off topic, but I do think MacGregor is very guilty of short, useless passes and then pointing to tell the receiving player where the ball should go.

15. It absolutely needs explaining that if BR wants to stay why there hasn’t already been contract negotiations.
    Or even if he hasn’t spoken of it, why they haven’t approached him?
    Unless BR himself at some point had told them he ain’t staying, then why aren’t they trying to tie down one of the winning most managers in the clubs history?
    What makes them think they can get better than that?
    What explanation or reason can they have for letting him walk?
    I want both PL & MN to explain that to me and all the other fans, why are you happy to see one of the clubs most successful managers walk away without an attempt to keep him?

17. Even if this was true, I wouldn’t blame BR for trying to get out of this shitshow. The fact that he is being driven to do so is actually just more evidence that our board are fecking rank incompetent. Losing our best players and an elite manager in one summer, just to add a few more million that we don’t actually need (we certainly won’t actually spend it anyway) to the already swollen coffers.
