Five days after being pushed out of Celtic Adam Idah was the Irish hero with a stoppage time equaliser in the World Cup draw with Hungary.
Last weekend the striker was in limbo between Glasgow and Swansea before Michael Nicholson pushed the £7m transfer over the line in the final hour of the transfer window.
It wasn’t the best of preparations for an international but after being the subject of constant criticism originating from Celtic messengers the move to Swansea would have came as a relief.

Ireland found themselves 2-0 down after just 15 minutes but in the 49th minute Evan Ferguson scrambled in a close range shot to give the home side hope.
Soon afterwards the Hungarians were reduced to 10 men for a straight red card to Rolland Sallai.
Idah and Mikey Johnston were brought off the bench in 78th minute as Ireland threw everything at getting an equaliser.
In the third minute of stoppage time Idah headed powerfully home from five yards out then raced off to celebrate with the fans in the Aviva Stadium.
On Tuesday Ireland travel to Armenia looking for three points to get into contention for qualification, Armenia lost 5-0 today at home to Portugal.

Just scanned the Celtic statement.
For me it’s this: “…However, the Club must adhere to our self-sustaining model… ”
i.e. fans shut up, back in your box, but keep spending your cash!
Not good.
Just noticed the statement is “By Celtic Football Club”.
The CEO couldn’t put his name to this…?
Plus, it’s a very wordy statement which says not very much,
and just doesn’t look like it’s written by a lawyer… maybe PR staff…?!
PR stuff by a Calvinist Bastard that allegedly is The PR guy Bob (original)…
Only at Celtic under ‘Daddy’
The PR ‘Calvinist’ won’t be backward at coming forward when it comes to sticking up for the board…
Not so for us fucking ordinary Celtic supporters though !
