Celtic defied John Beaton to secure a dramatic stoppage time victory at Kilmarnock thanks to a Kelechi Iheanacho penalty.
The man from the Crown Bar in Bellshill had denied Celtic clear penalties in each half for handball but following a VAR check in the third minute of stoppage time Beaton had no option but to award the hoops a penalty after a close range shot from James Forrest was blocked and sent for a corner.
On his debut, as a second half substitute, Iheanacho stepped up to plant the ball high into the net before setting off to celebrate with the Celtic fans behind the goal.
Beaton was beaten, Celtic had full points with Kris Boyd watching on devastated from the Sky Sports studio.
Who cares what that blubbering idiot thinks.. The guy can’t finish a sentence and keeps rage-cutting folk up.. Dire to listen tae.

Celtic had taken the lead in the 56th minute with a glancing header from Daizen Maeda but were pegged back to level terms in the 82nd minute from a David Watson header.
The match was in the balance going into the final minutes but Iheanacho secured the points to edge Celtic back above Hearts at the top of the SPFL Premiership.
For the next 13 days any time that Beaton and Boyd look at the Premiership table they will find Celtic in top spot, nine points and nine places above their favourite club.
The day had started off badly enough for Boyd and Beaton with the loyal messengers informed that Russell Martin wasn’t being sacked in the morning.

A week ahead of full on rage from the hun media
and it’s already in full swing .
All to try and deflect away from a club in a full blown crisis sitting 10th
Boyd has confirmed to me now definitely that he is an idiot and blinded by his bigotry.
We got lucky today and no thanks to cheating Beaton, but it must have broke his heart to give us that penalty, considering he didn’t want to know about the others.
Suppose it’s league winning form: we still play mince yet still collect the 3 points.
Very disappointing though, that the level of our play didn’t seem any different to previous games?
(Although new left winger looks promising.)
Agree. Team still deathly dull but he looks like a guy who knows the way up the pitch. Thought KT’s replacement looked decent as well.
No doubt Lousebhoy will be on soon to tell me I’m a sevci fan.
One of your usernames might be Hunnish….
What name would that be,Detective Columbo.
Forgive me if I don’t get all excited after the win.
The points are great but I still watched a team devoid of ideas going forward for most of the game.
The first half hour or more was that backward sideways nonsense, so frustrating.
Not sure what to make of Balikwisha, I know he hasn’t had long but for me he hasn’t shown anything, gets knocked off the baw too easy, reminds me of Palma.
We are there for the taking when the energetic Hearts, Hibs n Motherwell get us.
Its not Sevco we should be celebrating being ahead of.
Crikey, we’re the only team that hasn’t scored against them.
I’m shocked at the negativity on here after today’s game.
It was a hugely improved performance compared to the new huns game and Almaty x 2.
The pitch is an embarrassment and the weather made things difficult as did 10 men behind the ball most of the time. If Scales could time a jump for a header they wouldn’t have scored. We showed the Board a wee bit of what we think about them and the finish by Iheanacho made it a memorable, hugely important day for Celtic FC. Also, Erskine and Kingston bridges had to be closed to stop blue jumpers soiling the Clyde. 🙂
FFS, re-think what happened today and give out some positivity, eh?
Think I’ll tune into Clyde Superscoreboard tomorrow for some Schadenfreude of the highest order…
Will take the three points but need to improve before The Hi-Bees rock up at Parkhead in two weeks though…
That winger Sebastian played well for sure !
