After finally delivering a win Keith Jackson has decided that Barry Ferguson deserves the credit for Saturday’s win over Hibs rather than Russell Martin!
It is an incredible take from a 2-0 win over Hibs but hardly surprising with a media network in action to undermine the hipster former Southampton boss with a ready made management team sitting anxiously on the sidelines ready to answer the call.
Brendan Rodgers highlighted the lack of morals of last season’s interim management team, true to form Neil McCann and Billy Dodds were tickling Kenny Macintyre’s tummy during Saturday’s BBC Scotland Sportsound.
Those two experts are providing a running commentary on the failings of Martin, Ferguson provides an insight to Go Radio and the Daily Record where Jackson is fond of a campaign or two.
This morning the award winning Daily Record reporter reveals:
Ironically, Martin couldn’t even take any credit for the goal which turned Saturday’s tie in his favour, given that this was a specific set piece routine which was designed by former coach Billy Dodds during Barry Ferguson’s short time in charge.
An in-swinging corner from the right boot of James Tavernier onto the head of Raskin, who had escaped his man to dash towards the front post. It happened time and again throughout the final three months of last season when Ferguson was the man holding the fort.
It had nothing whatsoever to do with Martin or his staff. And yet it came to their rescue at a critical moment in a match which was going nowhere until Raskin’s intervention.
Martin spoke afterwards of his pride in the performance but, again, this was a man drifting onto dangerous ground while wearing the emperor’s new clothes.
So Martin selected the team, the tactics and the set pieces but Jackson’s Daily Record colleague Ferguson deserves the credit.
By that logic has wee Barry played a role in SPFL Premiership performances that sees the Ibrox Tribute Act in 11th place, and possibly bottom by the time they kick-off at Livingston on Sunday.

Billy Dodds, the inventor of the near-post corner. Never seen performed in public before his spell as one of the lumps up wee Bazzas jumper.
Writing shit like that in a national newspaper should be a sacking offence.
Scottish football will never be anything until people like them are gone.
What Iain Archer famously said about Rangers, applies Jackson and his like as well.
Ferguson,Dodds etc have no idea what a moral and ethical principle is…if they claim to have any, they’re about as firm as a wet noodle. If i was in the pub having a pint with them,i wouldn’t leave my pint while i went for a piss.
Spot on big Mick!
These peepul lack a code of morals and ethics.
Lol wee shellsuit Bob getting the credit for Martin’s first win in the league,no doubt they will win a game in the wee guys playground tournament in Europe 1 nil with Arseland saving a penalty, but it will be McGregor getting the credit because Arseland got coached aff him.
That’s a belter sevco scoring from a corner but it was Doods idea to play it like that.
I have never seem any team in the world score from a corner or a set peice, wee Barry and his coaching staff have started a revolution in football.
Better get that added to the CV.
I’d be very very worried if I was Fergushun’s wife…
A clearly homosexual person is after yer hubby dear lady !
Keith’s raging
He fully expected a Hibs win and Martin to be gone by now .
His column was going to be all about a*se licking the 49ers for being ruthless
and giving Barry a rolling contract
