Paul Lambert has slammed the senior Celtic figures involved in highly critical comments about Brendan Rodgers.

Two weeks ago The Sun carried very detailed criticism of the Celtic boss led by the claim that he was trying to engineer his way out of Celtic.

Rodgers has repeatedly stated that he will see out the remainder of his contract but he has yet to be offered a new deal.

Ahead of Celtic’s win over Kilmarnock Rodgers delivered an explosive media conference during which he labelled it a cowardly act to criticise him through a newspaper rather than face to face.

As a club Celtic have still to comment on the story, it is clearly authentic with The Sun retaining full media access to Celtic Park and Lennoxtown.

Discussing those issues Lambert told the Daily Record:

I think the leaks are a nonsense. Whoever or whatever’s happened – it is absolutely criminal.

Everybody has to stick together – the fans, the players, the team, manager, board. That’s the only way you have success is if everybody’s together. If you’re in sync and you’re aligned with everything then you’ll not go too far wrong because they’re a powerful club Celtic.

Lambert added:

But if there is that kind of leaking coming out then it’s really, really poor. It doesn’t matter who it is. It’s poor because the club is one and everybody’s one. It’s a really brilliant club and you certainly don’t want any leaks like that to happen.

Rodgers and protests against the Celtic board will be in the spotlight this afternoon with Celtic facing Partick Thistle in the League Cup at Firhill.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.
Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.

    Editor: Too far.

There are two versions of events, the truth and what you read in the Record, Sun, BBC etc.

If you want to ramble on showing up your stupidity head over to the Record, BBC or Celtic Thick News, but, I’m, not, sure, if, they, publish, without, commas.

Remember, your, commas, if, you, return, here. Or, adios.
