Derek Ferguson was involved in a highly abusive podcast discussing Russell Martin earlier today, afterwards he switched back on to his sensible mode as part of the Radio Scotland commentary team at Livingston.
The host was joined by Charlie Miller and Ferguson to discuss recent events at Ibrox as supporters crank up their hate campaign to get rid of Russell Martin.
Before he was appointed Ibrox fans detested the former Norwich defender over his political views and lifestyle choices, securing a stoppage time win at Livingston today isn’t likely to change the feelings of many bears.
Across fan media Martin is despised to varying degrees, there are no outlets prepared to give him a chance to settle in and introduce his style of playing the game.
Ferguson wears two hats, the uber staunch fan wanting a manager that ‘understands the needs and traditions of the club’ while also picking up a nice income from BBC Scotland for his thoughtful views and insight into the game.
Discussing his post match routine after a bad result Ferguson (6 minutes 50 seconds) told the All About The Gers podcast:
Do you know something I’m going to be deadly serious, so I’m going to, I need to swear you’re so f**ked up in the heid with everything that’s going on.
The fans, I mean, the end of the game was horrible because I was working at the game and I heard this kind of roar going up and I took my cans off and all I heard was ‘Russell… Martin, Martin get to you know where’ and it was uh it’s horrible, it’s horrible.
See, so the 49ers do the right thing. Relieve the man’s duty. You might have compensation to pay, that’s on you. you made the mistake and we need to bring in somebody else.

Later on Ferguson accused Martin of sucking the life out of Ibrox with everyone involved agreed that Barry Ferguson, Neil McCann and Billy Dodds ready to step in a do a better job.
Other views included the suggestion that Mohamad Diomande was looking for a red card against Genk, Mikey Moore is being wasted
Today Ferguson was alongside Al Lamont for Radio Scotland listening to the chants of hate aimed at Martin who shows no sign of moving on until he gets his contract settled in full.
The circus moves on to Graz on Thursday then Falkirk in the final fixture before the October international break.
