Richard Keys has joined the pile on demanding that Russell Martin gets sacked.
It is fair to say that the former Sky Sports presenter and the current Ibrox boss are polar opposites in virtually every area.
Keys is unlikely to drop his red meat approach to life to become a Vegan, the prospect of converting to Buddhism is equally unlikely.
After being sacked by Sky Sports Keys and Andy Gray found a new home for their viewpoints in Qatar, working for BeiN Sports. It is unlikely that there is much progressive chat between two men whose attitudes and values are stuck firmly in the seventies.
Sevco have been run like they assume they are Real Madrid,
Since Reincarnation, ex-players media and people like you waffle on about massive club jerseys to heavy built on winning trophies, the fact that they had to cheat for quite a lot of them is forgotten— ian ?????????????????????? (@IanJakea3157) September 26, 2025
Martin enjoyed a short pause in the hate campaign after his side beat Hibs in the League Cup but after losing at home to Genk.
The insipid defeat to the 14th best team in Belgium involved all of the shortcomings that have been a hallmark of Martin’s 15 matches in charge. Bringing four wins.
On Thursday night there were officially 17,000 empty seats with fans turning away in their droves, social media is full of stories of how disconnected the bears have become.
The media promises of the 49ers have fallen flat after investing in a WOKE manager who is the cultural opposite of everything that Ibrox fans value, the same values as Keys and Gray hold.
Now facing three away matches over eight days Martin has a massive task on his hands getting results against unprecedented levels of hatred from club supporters. In his media interviews Martin appears to have no doubt that things are about to improve.
Andrew Cavenagh returned to the USA on Friday which puts the spotlight on CEO Paddy Stewart to deliver the sacking that supporters are demanding.

Martin clearly is a guy with honourable beliefs and morals. He was never a fit for that bunch of hillbillies.
Id agree with that wholeheartedly but the fact that Martin played there for 6 months should’ve told him that the klan dont do modern thinking of any kind. He was always on a loser!
