BBC Scotland are leading the campaign to get Russell Martin sacked.
In today’s gossip column on their website the lead stories are Kris Boyd and Barry Ferguson questioning Martin topped off by Greg Stewart claiming that Martin has made every player worse.
For balance they cover Andy Halliday suggesting that a fan boycott can force the owners into changing manager.
BBC Scotland of course have Neil McCann and Billy Dodds high up on their rota of pundits with the former Hearts winger quite clearly pitching to come in as Martin’s successor.
BBC favourite Leeann Crichton is now in charge of the Ibrox Ladies team and on stand-by if the decision is taken to sack the former MK Dons manager.
Martin has absolutely no friends in the media, unlike Barry Ferguson who had a sympathetic network of messengers that were on the case as soon as he jumped into Phil Clements boots.
On Sunday morning word went out that Martin wasn’t going to sacked which has further cranked up the pressure on everyone around Ibrox.
CEO Paddy Stewart and Director of Football Kev Thelwell are now being criticised for their decision to appoint Martin and to stand by the vegan Buddhist who has refused to wear brogues.
Andrew Cavenagh is coming over for Saturday’s match against Hibs, with a 5.15 kick off he’ll be able to hear the local soccer fanatics in full voice against their manager after warming up in the wine bars of Paisley Road.

The most amazing rant I’ve read yet is from the Daily Record’s ‘ their man ‘ wee Scotty , who is venting his spleen and demanding heads must roll over in Ibroxland at the latest implosion of affairs ! In fact he mentions that guys cannot show their faces at work because of the embarrassment. I wonder if that includes the truly hurting and totally abashed Record scoops of a blue persuasion ? This was a dyed in the wool loyal fan boy scoop pleading for the Govanlandia hierarchy to put everyone out of their current misery as the strain and pain and anxiety is too much to bear .
Even if Martin gets sacked it woukd be brilliant if they ignored the BACKSTABBERS like wee Benny the so called ambassador for the klub supposedly, but kicking Martin when he is down, but itching to get back in there again with his bigot sidekicks,McCann,Doods and McGregor.
But the best thing that can happen is for the board to double down,come out and make a public statement and to say it’s a 3 year project with Martin,so suck it up,he’s here for that time.
Or they could come out and call their bluff and say right,we have sacked him,but no signings for the next 3 years as the money ain’t there after paying Martin and his staff their play off,the new manager coming in needs to work with what he has until things get back on an even keel.
As for Halliday stirring the pot that fanny should be steering well clear of that,a player from an oppsosing team in the league shouting for Martin to go,hoping and praying this keeps him in sevco’s good books and that should the 4 BIGOTS get there way and return they will Halliday back as well.FUD.
Said at the beginning, when there was first mention of a takeover…any person or persons looking to invest in that basket case of a club deserve everything they have coming to them…and come it has.
This is just the beginning, every single manager that goes there is expected to beat Celtic.
Doesn’t happen, this is the result.
How long before the yanks just say, enough is enough and bale out, or just sell the place for high rises?
All Martin needs to do is scrape a win against Hibs. 🙂

A cynic might also suggest that the ‘unbiased’ match officials also have it in for Martin?
In any other season, would that penalty really have been awarded to Hearts
at ibrox on Saturday – and when sevco was already losing 0-1…?
So Russia are banned from all football competitions,the same ban should be in place for Israel,the murders they are carrying out in Gaza is atrocious,and the fact that they are in denial of that and starving the people of Palestine.
