Celtic have announced their Europa League squad with no places for summer signings Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, Hayato Inamura, Shin Yamada and Callum Osmand.

Inamura wasn’t in the squad that faced Kairat Almaty but the decision to leave out Yamada and Simpson-Pusey will cause some concern.

The 25 man squad has to include four club trained players and four from Scottish clubs which can include Celtic players.

Stephen Welsh was in the squad for the Kairat matches, although he has moved to Motherwell there is no other Scottish trained player that can take his place.

Simpson-Pusey joined Celtic on a season long loan on August 5 but a month later it is hard to see where he will get playing time which is presumably what Manchester City sent him to Scotland for.

Dane Murray started the League Cup match against Falkirk, scoring a goal then came off the bench away to Kairat where he looked comfortable alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Defenders Alistair Johnston and Auston Trusty are both currently out injured but named for the Europa League group matches which conclude in January.

The full squad is-

GOALKEEPERS: Schmeichel, Sinisalo, Doohan,

DEFENDERS: Johnston, Scales, Trusty, Carter-Vickers, Sarrachi, Murray, Ralston, Tierney

MIDFIELDERS: McCowan, McGregor, Hatate, Engels, Bernardo, Nygren;

FORWARDS: Yang, Forrest, Kenny, Iheanacho, Balikwisha, Tounekti, Maeda

Other club trained players under the age of 21 such as Colby Donovan can be selected

    Lol this is PURE COMEDY GOLD,but I suppose you could say it’s HUMBLE PIE for us to munch on,all thosecyears of sevco being the laughing stock and the DAFTIES for getting SHAFTED by their own board,now the shoe is on the other foot.

    Just how GULLIBLE have we all been,we have been thar busy laughing at the opposition we took our own eyes off the ball,and now we are discovering it was us all being played for fools all along,sevco was a sideshow,a cat thrown on the table as a distraction while our own board rode the arse off us.

    I’m surprised at Yamada not being included however every player has to earn their place and obviously the others haven’t.

    Now on to the “catastrophic” transfer window, whilst I agree that the manor in the way the transfers have been handled is a concern I am happy with what we “eventually” got done…

    KT replacing Taylor is going to be THE difference to this Celtic team (1 goal conceded in 7 games) and a half fit CF will be more effective than Idah was this season, with two good wingers and quality KT cover also….. Finally here’s a couple of positive kickers…. The amount of “deadwood” we have removed from the wage bill and watch how the embryo clubs fans react when they realise their £20m (;-0) shiny brand new players are very ordinary…….
