True Blue Derek Clark loses the plot

As if another failed Revolution wasn’t bad enough Derek Clark flipped at the thought of his true blue heroes being involved in wild swimming while he screams for the removal of their ultra WOKE manager.

For traditionalists the appointment of Russell Martin was a moment of despair, a break with tradition as Martin became the first Vegan Buddhist to take charge of the 13 year old club.

Even with low expectations Martin has drastically under performed, his arrogance and total belief in his mini-Pep style of football is being picked off by every manager in the SPFL, even Steven Pressley and Derek McInnes.

Topping off the despair of the last few days Martin thinks that the solution to the problems on the park can be solved by some team bonding including swimming with the filth and germs that Loch Lomond collects.

Clark, apparently a Hamilton Accies fan wasn’t impressed, he tried to laugh it off but just ended up looking as foolish as his manager when he hosted the Rangers Review this morning.

It is going to be a slow painful week for Clark and the lads at the Rangers Review, with their special status as messengers they have to hold back in their criticism of the manager.

Ibrox fans are going to extremes in their demands to have Martin replaced, with a 5.15pm kick off on Saturday for the match against Hibs the atmosphere will be truly poisonous when Captain Disappointed leads his colleagues onto the pitch.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Oh we’ll tak the high road and they’ll tak the low road.

Sink or swim now for the sevs!

    My money’s on sink.

It’s the blindness, the expectation, the complete divorce from the reality of the past 13 years. 3 major trophy lifts 3 minor. Same as St Johnstone major wise, Celtic in the same timeframe 26 all major. Will they ever except reality??? Only ourselves can end this dominance, and seem to be giving such a serious go

Yes, can think of cleaner lochs in which to catch hypothermia.

But that trip’s a bit different – which just might help the sevco squad?

I’m old enough to remember Jock Wallace taking his squad to the Gullane Sands,

and I think he was praised / admired for that?

If Martin hangs on until Christmas, there could be vacancies available down south…? 🙂

17:45 kick off. A lot of toxic (or should I say intoxicated) bears on the loose. This could be very ugly indeed.

    Editor: Even more ugly.

Hopefully Hibernian wear their temporary ‘Hoops’ and put them out…

ANGRY bears for sure that being the outcome !

Martin is already a dead man walking, However Celtic should not be measuring ourselves against them but European opponents. I suspect we are badly setup for any sort of successful campaign this season (I have already written it off). Cannot see us qualifying, however given they were seeded despite playing in a lesser tourney they have landed a much MUCH easier group and Martin or not WILL qualify.

Now if / When they bring in someone else, I have little doubts he will galvanise them quickly, given they can hardly get worse. We SHOULD have plans in place for January to blow them out of the water – Again though I cannot see this board even with 2-3 new additions handing BR £ 20-25m to boost the squad properly (Even if Maeda stays or not)
We have a lot of work to do and cannot sit gloating while they regroup.
