Anthony Joseph is expecting a busy day of transfer activity from Celtic.
It has been a very frustrating window for supporters with Brendan Rodgers struggling to remain diplomatic about the lack of activity as he tries to put together a team on the park.
Losing to Kairat Almaty in the Champions League cost the club the best part of £40m and was followed up by the signings of Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Marcelo Saracchi.
Celtic remain light on options on the wings with the expected sale of Adam Idah highlighting the need to bring in a striker, or better still two.
It’s officially #DeadlineDay. Celtic are going to be VERY busy as they hope to secure deals for Kasper Dolberg, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Sebastian Tounekti. They’re also looking to bring in another striker, which may have to come via an offer to them, or a loan.

How do you rate Celtic's transfer business
OUTSTANDING- exactly what the team needed
ON HOLD- They'll come good by September 1
HORRENDOUS- Looking as bad as 2023
Kasper Dolberg is the target that will attract most attention today with his name heavily linked with Celtic over the weekend.
While Idah was left out of the Celtic squad at Ibrox Dolberg was a late substitute as Anderlecht lost 2-0 against champions USG.
Signing players has been a slow moving activity at Celtic throughout the window but last year on August 30 Arne Engels, Luke McCowan and Auston Trusty were all signed on August 30.
Any signings made today will arrive at a club in an international break, Celtic’s next matches are away to Kilmarnock (September 14) and Partick Thistle (September 21) then the Europa League opener away to Red Star Belgrade on September 24.

Not holding my breath. Lawwell et al have really done us over this time round. Rodgers will be away at the end of the season, if not before, and I dread who will manage the team once he’s gone.
We really have to chase this board out now!
We have lost 5 attack minded players or Taylor .khun .Kyogo and jota and now Anthony Johnston later 2 are injured the heart of the team has gone
Why not bid for dessers?
Anybody else think signing players on the last day just means your signing players nobody else wanted and paying more than their worth because its the last day.
Please allow one of them to be a proper midfielder ? I’m afraid young Arne Engels does not come up to Celtic standard , having had many chances to prove himself ! How many times was he pushed off the ball while attempting to go for it yesterday ? He was knocked off it by diminutive Barron and Diomande with ease for Christ sakes …falling onto his face on the process !
