Sky Sports are sensing a big story from Rugby Park on Sunday- the bad news for Peter Lawwell is that the SPFLs broadcaster won’t be siding with the Celtic board.
Since Celtic last played over 400 different supporter groups have put together an open letter to the club, hosted a meeting in Glasgow city centre and agreed on the first plan of action.
After releasing the Ratners of all statements on Saturday evening Celtic have taken a step back with social media activity to avoid further adverse reaction and hostility.
Wednesday’s meeting set the agenda for this week, it was followed at 7pm on Thursday with details of the 12th minute protest from the 12th man, the Celtic support.

Sky Sports carried details of Wednesday’s meeting including the statement on the 12th man protest.
Crucially the broadcaster has daily dialogue with Celtic, they have access to players and management that no one else has.

Sky Sports News has asked Celtic for comment.
Clearly there has been no answer to a request from a friendly broadcast partner.
With Michael Nicholson at the top of the tree it is hardly surprising that there is a lack of leadership, direction and decision making from Celtic.
Today is media day, Brendan Rodgers will likely say that the fans have a right to take whatever action they like.
Nicholson will be watching on from his office, after four years hiding he has become the story with his vow of silence damning him as much as his decisions to sell Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah without bothering with signing replacements.
I will eat my Celtic hat if Brendon takes that presser today.

I don’t object to it in the slightest I just don’t think it hurts enough.
The board really don’t care, and they’ll snigger at this knowing that it will burn out before it starts.
You will never have as much support or strength of feeling as you do now from the silent masses and I don’t think this type of protest will work. I hope I’m wrong I really do.
For me its almost as though it’s hurting me as well, and I know they don’t care if I come at all or not.
I don’t think we need to play so nice.

A big huge banner saying “Don’t buy Adidas” will get the right phones ringing.
Especially if sales drop 20-30 %.
The late walk in has a good gimmick but it’s almost asking nicely for a little recognition.
Hit them hard where it hurts and while fans are still angry. Cause come Christmas nobody will care, they’ll have a laugh at the video and still buy the presents.

Fergus McCann put this club in the hands of the fans who collectively hold the majority of shares. The owner is NOT the self appointed golfer from across the sea. He does NOT hold a majority and his arrogance is astounding.
Dominic McKay was the best appointment to this club’s board and if he was still here we would have been in a much happier place now. The board got rid of him since he was a threat to them as he was a true professional and they could not face being shown up for their collective inability, arrogance and sense of entitlement which does NOT belong at our club. Desmond is a part of that and he needs to depart as well as he offers nothing of import.
Now Brendan is getting the same treatment as Dominic.
This whole board needs cleared out, even the silent ones, as they are cowards and will not accept their responsibility to challenge. They are all to blame n and we need to see the back of them Their behaviour is nothing short of disgusting and they try to protect their comfortable positions and easy lifestyle at the expense of others. In short, they are not doing their jobs and living as parasites.

I’ve just read a comment from Zeddy saying display a banner telling Celtic fans not to buy Addidas, imo a brilliant idea 1 phone call from Addidas would certainly put the cat in amongst the pigeons.
It’s easy for me to say back the 12th man protest, because I won’t be at the game, but, the important thing is that those who choose to take their seats before kick off have their right to do that respected by those who don’t. If we can show that even with differing points of view, we are still united against the boar it will send a really powerful message.
Agree with most of the emotion/passion on here against the board and I’ve been against the board, Lawwell in particular and his Irish golfing leech boss for coming on 15 years.
I tried to get some support for a ‘Celtic supporters’ Voice’ and had some discussions which unfortunately came to nought. My chosen name was The Celtic Guardians to register that we’d just be ‘passing through’, Guardians for a while as supporters/shareholders but ALWAYS with Celtic FC at heart and recognising, and trying to ensure, that Celtic FC was on a solid footing forever.
I’ll keep on trying. BUT, “over 400 different supporter groups”? Is that not falling for the old ‘divide and conquer’ craic? Just think of the enormous power if those groups came together and unified all shareholdings into one Voice?
We’d NEVER AGAIN have to suffer the Desmonds, Lawwells and their ‘puppets of the day’. We would be CELTIC FC and there’d be NO turning back. Other supporters groups from near and far would see the sense of this and, long term, it could be the end of UEFA/FIFA and all the other parasitic, capitalist leeches involved in global football, a game for the masses, run by the masses with political comment when necessary.
It’s long been a dream of mine and will continue to be as long as I draw breath.

The suits weren’t long getting him punted when they realised he really was gonna shake things up and ruin their nice wee gentleman’s club.
As for the 12th man, I won’t be there, but u gotta start somewhere and its as good an idea as any cos if the stand is empty, SKY are gonna have to say why.
