Fans looking to get kitted out in the lastest Celtic gear will have to splash out £505.
For that they will get a stylish smock with a t-shirt, sweatshirt and shoes which looked similar to the trainers produced in recent seasons.
At £230 the Adidas smock is the most expensive item. The trainers and sweatshirt each come in at £110 with the t-shirt only £55.
After an initial five year contract during the summer Celtic signed a 10 year Adidas deal at an increased rate. That involves more frequent releases.
The days of two strips a season are long gone with Adidas putting green Celtic trimmings onto most items as they exploit the relationship.
A year or two ago another release might have been met with a few grumbles followed by ‘don’t buy it’ replies on social media. This time the reactions are likely to be very different.
While the Adidas launches are becoming more frequent Michael Nicholson has been weakening the team. Selling players is no problem to the Celtic CEO, buying is more difficult.
Many fans have decided that the relationship has become one way.
There are rumours that Celtic’s retail income during September was down 50% on September 2024.
FANS VOTING WITH THEIR CASH
With the club seen to be hoarding money rather than reinvesting in the team fans are becoming more selective with their spending. There were 14,000 empty seats at the recent Europa League match against Braga.
Last month there was a lot of criticism over a launch of Henrik Larsson merchandise, none towards the player.
When the club is criticised for merch associated with their greatest player this century there is a serious disconnect.
Celtic’s social media team can expect strong feedback for the launch of the SPZL range this morning.
Further protests and actions against the Celtic board will be discussed at a meeting of the Collective in Glasgow tonight. With over 400 supporter groups on board the Collective has huge backing among fans,

Cheers ye up, looking at that first thing. Could the boy no’ manage a wee smile, a grin, a smirk even? Mibbe they took the photies after telling him the cost?
Absolutely hideous clothing. The smock looks like a maternity top. Who designed this crap.
Timing is not the best, and presumably this release – and the Larsson merchandise release
– were scheduled by Adidas?
Maybe it might help if we need ‘world class’ marketing and PR teams now?
…it still just comes across as the Board becoming increasingly tone deaf.
Personally I think it’s very poorly designed and hugely over-priced. All of it.
If I had a spare £500 I’d sooner spend it on shares, tell the board my intention which is to remove the lot of them and hand over proxy voting to the new CFC.
United Celtic FC supporters have the power to move mountains, USE IT and back the new CFC in any way you can. The current incumbents in the board room are way past their sell-by date.
Does it come with a prawn sandwich?
Fkn ridiculous pricing, attempting to rinse the fans again.
