Chris Sutton didn’t waste any time in taunting Kris Boyd over the sacking of Russell Martin on Sunday night.
Just two months ago the Village Idiot was tipping Martin to take the SPFL Premiership title to Ibrox, seven matches into the campaign the former Southampton boss is looking to pick up his pay off after 123 days that provided so much content for The Banter Years.
Bringing in a vegan, Buddhist to manage at Ibrox was never going to work, Martin was despised before he took the job and is detested as he packs up his sandals and muesli from Murray Park.
Five wins in 17 matches, two in the last 10 mixed up with sneering arrogance in every media interview combined to yesterday’s comical exit with a police escort out of the Falkirk Stadium.
At the other side of the pitch the team bus had been kettled in by the Union Bears as they made their anger known at the latest batch of flop signings to join the serial losers.

Sutton by-passed yesterday’s Sky Sports coverage from Falkirk, his seat was filled by Davie Weir who is even duller than James McFadden.
That left Boyd to express the anger of the support who live under the delusion that they are watching some sort of trophy winning machine.
Over the last 12 years three managers have won trophies at Ibrox, Steven Gerrard left five months after winning the freaky Covid SPFL title, Giovanni van Bronckhorst lasted 366 days despite winning the Scottish Cup.
Phil Clement bucked the trend of surviving the autumn sacking season but back-to-back home defeats from Queens Park and St Mirren saw him collect his pay off. Barry Ferguson was rapidly into the brogues of dignity.
Boyd has cheered in every new manager and a brilliant appointment, then watched Celtic ride off into the sunset leaving his dreams in tatters.
After Barry Ferguson failed in the spring time perhaps it could be Boyd’s time to show that he is not just a hysterical pundit that loses the plot as he is taunted from the sidelines by Sutton and thousands of Scottish football fans that love to see him in meltdown mode.

‘KB’ in the dugout is an amusing prospect but one I fear will never come to pass – to get to the dugout you need to walk past several pie stalls and we know he can’t do that…..
I managed to get that malt down on YouTube…
Funny as it was – How the fuck do Sly Sky persist in employing him…
He drags them down to gutter level for sure !
You Clach supporters have got malt on the brain, Clach. :))))?
I’m not sure Russell Martin was a comical thing. A violent masked mob holding the Team Bus and the obviously imminent threat to Russell Martins safety were all, as per usual, brushed under the carpet by the staunch Laptop Loyal Lapdogs of the SMSM with Kris Boyd commenting on the situation as “the fans have had enough”
Absolutely despicable. Shocking but absolutely par for the course in Scotland.
Correct EMC and to add to that it appears that one of Scotlands’s educated MSP ‘s (list msp) Murdo Fraserh has added his tuppence worth –
Fraser said on social media last night: “No more vegans, Bhuddists or Green Party members please, Rangers FC”.
If only he’d worn that club blazer and tie with the brown brogues of dignity he might still be in a job, no matter how crap the performances were.
Eddie, I think your wording of the last sentence is awry!
We get dragged into everything/anything that scum does by the whole SMSM and more.
We don’t need it from our own supporters. It should be more like: Shocking but absolutely par for the course from Ibrox and their SMSM partners. Eh?
The O** F*** is dead since 2012 when half of it died so please don’t infer us and ‘them’ have ANY association. Unless you’re talking Floyd!
HC Anderson (11.19am) – Good spot buddy – Ah for an edit button…
Canny speak for all but aye – A good few Clach fans are very sociable and like a wee tipple or two…
Personally it’s Johnny Walker (Black Label) for me but if we beat Sevco I expand to a Highland, Lowland, Speyside or Islay Malt to celebrate…
Sadly of course I’ve not had that pleasure for far too long !!!
