Celtic completed an unwelcome treble at the weekend.
As well as the defeat at Dens Park there were defeats for the B team and the women’s team.
Not quite the world class standards that you’d expect four years into the reign of Michael Nicholson as CEO.
Recently the club finally got round to opening their Barrowfield Training Complex.
LOWLAND LEAGUE
Having came through the world class academy and the world class education partnership with St Ninian’s it seems that the players are barely adequate to play in the Lowland League. The 5th/6th tier of football in Scotland.
On Saturday it was the turn of Bo’ness United to beat the Celtic B team. Other than the 3-1 scoreline there are no details on the Celtic website.
Celtic B have won two of their last 10 matches. Against Kelty Hearts in the SPFL Challenge Cup and away to Berwick Rangers in the Lowland League.
The ‘stars of tomorrow’ are sitting in 12th place in the Lowland League with a record of 4 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats from 13 matches. 30 goals have been lost. They have also lost five goals to Alloa and East Fife in the SPFL Challenge Cup.

Sitting below Celtic are Albion Rovers, Berwick Rangers, Gala Fairydean Rovers, Hearts B, East Stirling and Gretna 2008. It isn’t elite company.
The Celtic Academy has been broken for years. The last promising batch of players was the 2000 group containing Jack Aitchison, Ewan Henderson, Stephen Welsh, Kerr McInroy, Daniel Church and Robbie Deas.
With no structure at the club those players with the exception of Deas wasted vital seasons in their career playing in the wilderness of Development Leagues. Deas is a regular for Kilmarnock after going out on loan to Cowdenbeath and Alloa then joining Inverness Caley Thistle to play real football.
Aaron Hickey and Lennon Miller saw what was ahead of them and got out of the Celtic Academy set up. None of their former team-mates who stayed on to sign professional contracts at Celtic are still playing full-time.

Nicholson- a void of leadership
Rodgers- delivering success against the odds
So just what is the ‘thinking’ in the CP boardroom? Is there any thought process?
Trying to ‘develop’ players by putting them amongst hammer-throwers, joiners and painters in the Lowland League? Clueless.
Selling our best players before even considering replacements? Clueless.
Leaving transfer in business until the last minute, then failing? Clueless.
Repeating the above 3 errors every year? Clueless.
Aye, they’re world ‘clueless’ in everything they do. SACK THE BOARD!
PS I voted in the above ballot but believe Lawwell HAS to be 1st out the door.
He’s the font of all poison at CP and appointed most of the other baggage.
They’ve held us back year after year whilst milking OUR club for multi-millions of £s.
I doubt there’s even 1 director worth his/her salt, just Lawwell’s puppets and a full clear-out is not just welcome but ESSENTIAL!

C,Mon Joe , remember lapdog Nicholson has been telling us that the board regarding the running of Celtic is world class in everything they do , apparently that must mean making a complete arse of being in charge of anything regarding Celtic, fkn shysters the lot of them , empty jackets never mind suits.
