Collective latest with Nicholson on the run

Michael Nicholson really is making life easier for the Celtic Fans Collective.

The hapless £1m-a-year CEO appears to be on a mission to grow the Collective which wasn’t even a thing two month sago.

An open letter fronted by The Green Brigade attracted the support of just over 100 groups. It had an impact but was no biggy.

Surrounded by back-slappers the Celtic CEO was as snug as a bug as he prepared to celebrate four years on mute.

And then the roof started to fall in someone who is apparently a leading sports lawyer. Like many claims that one has no basis.

Nicholson’s transfer activities got wildly out of hand. Celtic stopped scoring goals. They lost out to Kairat Almaty.

A bhoy called David spilled the beans to Roger Hannah at the Scottish Sun. Nicholson approved a 1030 word statement that confirmed that the CEO and his colleagues were clueless over how to run a football club.

Contempt for the customers had gone too far.

A week after the open letter (dated September 3) had been published over 400 groups had added their support.

CELTIC FANS COLLECTIVE

Next up a public meeting was held. On September 20 the movement was named as the Celtic Fans Collective.

Suddenly Celtic wanted to invite favoured groups to discuss the Fairhurst Report over tea and biscuits.

On October 6 Nicholson shrugged his shoulders and smirked. He had ticked that troublesome fan engagement box off his Office Diary.

Tonight Celtic are eight points behind Hearts in second place in the SPFL Premiership. The league that contains the worst teams in the Europa League and UEFA Conference.

AGM 2025

Nicholson is afraid to publish the full accounts for the 24/25 season which reveals his full salary and bonuses.

There is no word on an AGM, every time he delays it things get worse on the pitch. The Collective grows off the pitch.

It looks like things will get worse before they get better, perhaps much worse.

Every passing week Nicholson looks paler and thinner. He could barely get any weaker.

Wednesday night at Celtic Park will be eerie, so eerie that the comfort blanket of the club Chairman is unlikely to put in an appearance.

Nicholson and his mentor Peter Lawwell are delaying the inevitable.

Their day of reckoning is surely coming, some things just can’t be delayed forever.

NOTE: The Trinity Tims podcast will be on at 6.30pm tonight, live on You Tube.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Lawwell’s invisible man gig since the BR leak tells us two things.
He was the man that leaked the story.
And he is an utter coward staying out of the limelight hoping it blows over.
That’s the measure of our chairman, lower than whale shit.

They are all invisible including the ex labour mp getting 40 odd grand a year for doing what ? This question also needs to be asked.

    “…a leading sports lawyer.”

No, he must be a world class sports lawyer…?

    Get it right. 🙂

Change is needed and has been for very many years. Even since before the huns died.
It’s Lawwell, almost certainly at the bidding of the Irish golfing leech but those two must be removed by any means possible, along with the empty MN jersey and the also empty CM finance man. Really it’s a clear-out that’s necessary and the sooner the better.
It may get really ugly before we force that internal scum out but regardless they’ve got to be binned. We can start by looking at our roots and paying into The Foundation and other charities for the benefit of the poor amongst us instead of paying out huge sums to Lawwell and the rest of the board and HMRC.
But that’s for the medium to long term. We firstly must support the manager and put a team on the pitch worthy of our name, The Glasgow Celtic FC, not PLC, FC.
    NOT ANOTHER PENNY.

Until THEY ( the cretins who run OUR CLUB ) are gone many , many people are going to be affected.
Less staff in all areas , people possibly losing their jobs !
The Celtic supporters don’t want this BUT until our club is run properly it is what will happen.
Maybe then THEY will realise that FOOTBALL WITHOUT FANS is NOTHING !!!!!

    Scousebhoy @ 6.07pm…

Being a Labour Butchers Apron loving cunt he’ll see his £40,000 bounty as worthwhile especially as Lucan & Co. gave that two footed cow Reeves £11.75million in fuckin Celtic tax cash that should’ve gone on players instead !

    • Jim Duffy says:

Clach would you have been happier if it had went to a butchers apron loving Tory, because unfortunately mate thats the choice ,and please don’t say fartrage and deform would be your choice,ok Clach.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

As a Nationalist Jim it’s always had to be SNP for me naturally…

And very much Sinn Fein in The Island of Ireland…

The SNP are too soft in fighting The Brit establishment in my humble opinion…

So I’d like to see a kinda Scottish Sinn Fein to be honest !
