Danny Rohl’s has joined Steven Gerrard in walking away from the manager’s job at Ibrox!
On Saturday night it was announced that the former Aston Villa boss had pulled out after two days of constructive talks.
Towards the end of last week Rohl was being mentioned as a candidate for the toxic post. Apparently he had came over really well in interviews, just like Russell Martin had in the spring.
Typically there was a very hostile backlash to suggestions that Rohl was the favourite for the job following Gerrard’s decision to walk away.
With his appearance and a background of managing in the English Championship Rohl was being compared to Martin, referred to as Martin 2.0. At the age of 36 Rohl has managed for a total of 89 matches, all at Sheffield Wednesday.
Now the German has announced that he won’t be slipping into the brown brogues of dignity any time soon.
Danny Rohl has informed Rangers he wishes to withdraw from the process to become their new head coach.

Instantly Kevin Muscat has been given a much stronger negotiating hand if he receives the call from Ibrox.
His former international team-mate Craig Moore knows how desperate things are with ‘The Americans’.
INTO THE UNKNOWN
The hounding of Martin was shown worldwide. Watching him getting a police escort out of Falkirk isn’t a good look.
Ten days after his sacking the club seems no closer to finding a successor. It is the job that no-one credible wants associated with.
According to the reliable sources at the Daily Record no informal contact has been made with Barry Ferguson or Derek McInnes.
Neil McCann however is poised. He is believed to have a Dundee United dossier prepared and has cleared his weekend diary of media duties.
The home side go into Saturday’s match in eighth place in the SPFL Premiership with just one win to their name.
Next Thursday attention switches to the Europa League where they are away to Brann Bergen. The Thursday night specialists have lost both of their opening matches in that competition.

Oh dear how sad
A young, relatively inexperienced manager – who is also looking for a job – yet, he still tells the ibrox club “no thanks” !
That’s humiliating.
(And many times more humiliating than when the rated Eddie Howe walked away from us.)
Got to be an ex-player then – just to keep the bears onside…?
Ex-player Bob Malcolm may yet get the call to park up his ice cream van and don the blazer and brogues of dignity!!!!
Neil McCann’s “dossier” on Dundee United will be a copy of the pull—out sports section from last weekend’s Sunday Post inside an envelope!!! Hahahahaha!
One bonus for their ferbile minds to enjoy…
No Danny with that Feniany name joining then !
How bad is it behind the Delaware curtain?
Two out of work manager’s rejecting a job that’ll pay over £1m per annum after looking under the bonnet……
HH
The Americans must be wishing they’d walked away and found a better mark to plunder.
Rumour is Lord Lucan is willing to come out of hiding to take on the role, he’s ran out of dosh and thinks its worth the risk for 10 games, sacked and a compo payout.
