Graham Spiers has jumped to the defence of Murdo Fraser.

Late on Sunday night the list MSP for mid-Scotland at Hollyrood tweeted his demands for the next manager at Ibrox.

Excusing his bad spelling Fraser doesn’t want a vegan, a Buddhist or a member of the Green Party appointed. Spiers sympathises with that level of banter.

It is a common theme among the majority of Ibrox fans, it is the reason why Russell Martin was detested before he was appointed as manager in June.

The anger and resentment was nothing to do with his tactics or managerial record. It was all to do with his lifestyle choices.

Naturally legacy media opted to look the other way as they fed their readers with reasons to detest their new manager.

On Monday it was announced that Police Scotland were investigating Fraser, Spiers was disgusted at that.

After stints at The Herald then The Times Spiers is trying to work his way into a pay day with the Scottish Daily Mail.

As a result Spiers is clearly aligning his politics with The Mail such as backing the views of Fraser.

Being seen as a good egg, a good sport isn’t going to earn you a contract out of the Daily Mail in 2025.

Fraser’s problem is his stupidity. Voters know all about that, seven times he has failed to win Holyrood elections. He uses the back door route to a generous salary and expenses.

His dislike for Buddhists will go down a treat in the circles Fraser moves in, it chimes with his values. It is why he has supported both Ibrox clubs, they align with his values.

Now Spiers is onboard that same Banter Bus.

After the disastrous experiment with Martin it seems certain that the next wearer of brogues will be more agreeable to Spiers and Fraser, two of a kind.

Murdo Fraser = vile bigotry & hatred with a smile (so that we think he is joking).
I have to say, Speirs entering as his advocate is rather enlightening! He seems to think we are being po-faced when we challenge bigotry, racism and hatred. Well, his cover has been blown away now!

If Fraser had said “No Catholics” there would be no police investigation.

Graham Spiers is an arse. It is only recently he changed his photo from his silly private schoolboy one, emphasising he is well educated and the voice of reason, to the bawface we see today.

Yet this fountain of wisdom believes a club can come back from liquidation, so his opinion means nothing.

I’m glad the police are investigating. Regardless of the outcome, it might give Fraser pause for thought before he spews more sectarian bile into the public square.
