Russell Martin was last seen being chased out of the Falkirk Stadium.

Today at Ibrox a sinister message was draped across the Sandy Jardine Stand aimed at the club CEO and Director of Football.

There has been no condemnation of the threats made to Martin after the draw at Falkirk. At a media conference on Friday interim boss Steve Smith excused and justified the reactions of the fans.

STEWART, THELWELL PACK YOUR BAGS, GO BEFORE WE PACK THEM FOR YOU.

Following the hate campaign against Martin no further explanation is needed on today’s message which appeared just before the start of the second half.

Paddy and Kev have been served notice.

At the time of the banner the home side were leading 1-0. The match finished 2-2 leaving the Ibrox Tribute Act with nine points from eight matches.

Stewart was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December with great play made of having Manchester United on his CV.

So far he has seen off three managers and survived.

Thelwell was appointed in May and instantly hailed as a genius since he had previously worked at Wolves and Everton. Earlier this month he appointed his 26-year-old son Robbie as Head of Recruitment.

Since the sacking of Martin there has only been one managerial comment from the club. Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe promised to take a hands on role in recruiting Martin’s successor. Neither were at Ibrox today.

The loyal messengers have relayed the news that Kevin Muscat has agreed terms and is making plans for Ibrox.

Until 8.18pm on Saturday October 11 the same messengers were hanging on to constructive talks with Steven Gerrard.

The circus moves on to Brann Bergen on Thursday, there is likely to be additional security in the team hotel. On Sunday high flying Kilmarnock visit Ibrox.

Hasn’t Thelwell brought his son into this toxic situation? Hell mend anyone who gets involved with them.

  • Pan says:

This Ibrox club is remains a poisonous club with many disturbed and poisonous followers. There is no discernment there. Until they get rid of their filthy bigoted and racist followers they cannot bring about change. The decent followers, some of whom are friends of mine must be absolutely sick of them. The new incumbents have a hell of a job on their hands. I hope they can change the culture for the betterment of Scottish football, although I doubt it.

  • Bob (original) says:

How can anyone at ibrox have any respect for Thelwell – or his son – for that brazen act of nepotism?

And how can anyone at ibrox have any respect for CEO Stewart for letting that happen? He looks weak.

    Mental.

…and wouldn’t believe a word about Muscat signing – until he’s physically at ibrox and with the obligatory scarf around his neck.

    • Celtic Symphony says:

For scarf you must mean noose. ? Just in from a night out with a few tangerine fans. They’re raging at dropping 2 pts at the Bigotdome. ? Worried about their place in the top 6. With the Huns creeping into sixth spot. ?

We’re nae better, were only ahead because sevco are even worse than us ,if in doubt check Euro results, we’re pish and so are sevco, difference is we could have been a decent force in Europe but our board thought nah ,let’s just stay ahead and win the Mickey mouse SPFL,and that’s how even minor teams see us and Scottish football, everyone of our teams in Europe are shite, some of the lesser clubs like Killie, hearts and sevco are poor but we should be strong enough to beat the likes of kairat, but under this board that want to keep us just one step ahead of sevco,we will be cannon fodder in the CL and probably piss poor in the Europa league, because we are going nowhere in Europe now ,.
