Neil Lennon joined forces with Kris Boyd to blame Brendan Rodgers for all of the problems at Celtic.
Squeezed in either side of James McFadden in the Sky Sports studio Lennon was in full cheer-leading mode for his friends in the Celtic board room. Dunfermline fans must have been puzzled looking in less than 24 hours on from their defeat at Ross County.
Lennon is the full-time manager of Dunfermline, sitting in sixth place in the Championship with a record of Won 4, Drawn 3 and Lost 5.
With matches coming up away to Ayr United on Friday then leaders St Johnstone at home Lennon has should have his hands full with his real job. On Thursday he was on TV duty for Celtic v Sturm Graz, today it was Hearts v Celtic.
BLIND LOYALTY
It didn’t take much to kick the ‘debate’ off. Straight away Lennon attacked Rodgers for comments made this season while ignoring the wilful downsizing of Michael Nicholson.
Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah have been sold. Nicholson failed to complete deals to sell Daizen Maeda and Yang Hyun-jun with neither player hitting form this season.
Nicholson has barely bothered with bringing in competent replacements.
No striker was signed in January. After losing to Kairat Almaty in the Champions League the Celtic CEO signed four players including two left wingers in Seb Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
Over two transfer windows Celtic are down one right winger, with three left wingers added.
Lennon has twice been caretaker manager of Celtic. Both times he was then given the job on a permanent basis.
Since leaving Celtic in February 2021 he has managed Omonia Nicosia for 29 matches followed by six with Rapid Bucharest.
At Dunfermline he has a record of Won 9, Drawn 5 and Lost 9.

The whole ‘discussion’ just descended into a rabble. Lennon and his pal Boydy egged each other on. Boldly in the studio while Sutton was in the commentary area, outdoors in the stadium.
Eilidh Barbour was posted missing. Pundits arguing makes for great telly but not a 2 v 1 screaming match. Lennon and Boyd have little respect. Sutton’s comments and ideas are under contract to Sky Sports, BBC 5 Live! the Daily Record and Daily Mail.
THE CHEERLEADER
Lennon just wouldn’t let up in his attacks on Rodgers, we all know his motivations.
He couldn’t utter a single word of criticism of Michael Nicholson whose Celtic career has been shaped by Peter Lawwell.
Once again the Celtic Chairman was absent from watching the club that pays him £120,000 plus expenses for a job his defenders say is purely symbolic.
Despite that his toxic influence runs through every area of the club, the legacy of 17 years empire building with employees groomed to work his way. With outside support from Lennon and others.

I like lennon as a footballer he done well for us,,, but as his time as manager x2 was not,,, he’s not manager material,, but its the type of person this board would put in place in a heartbeat,,,going forward we all know Rodgers will not take up new contract,future at the mo looks prity bleak especially wen Dundee beat us with 17% of possession and an ordenary hearts side with double that possion beat us as well,

Precisely mate…and of course possession is important when you pass with a purpose. Most of our passing is simply passing the buck. Our midfield don’t properly protect the back line,or support and create for the front men. One of pet hates is the “he’s got that in his locker” garbage…well here’s an idea: bring it out of the fucking locker and onto the park and let’s see it.
