Sinister threats to Kev Thelwell stepped up

Kevin Thelwell appears to be in line for the Russell Martin treatment.

Two weeks ago the vegan , Buddhist was last seen in public, being escorted out of Falkirk by Policemen on horseback.

A few hours later it was announced that Martin had been sacked.

The mob effectively hounded the manager out of Ibrox, there was no criticism of their actions. No defence was offered up for the manager.

Having toppled a manager it seems that an element of the Ibrox support has developed a taste for power.

Thelwell is next up the ladder, he is strongly linked to Martin. The botched efforts to find a successor are being pinned on him. He’s probably also being blamed for the cold pies and lukewarm bovril, if it’s not on him it is on his boy, Robbie, 26 and newly installed Head of Recruitment.

Two days after Martin was sacked Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe penned a sugary letter of apology to the Gullible & Deluded.

RECRUITMENT DISASTER

They were taking ownership of appointing the successor to Martin, clearly pinning the blame for that decision on Thelwell and Paddy Stewart.

With attempts to appoint Steven Gerrard, Danny Rohl and Kevin Muscat falling down the blame is being put on Thelwell. He is also being blamed for the horrific summer recruitment.

Martin was hounded out eight days after angry protests outside the home dressing room before the match against Hibs.

With Thelwell sitting in the Directors Box security is likely to be increased on Sunday for the match against Kilmarnock.

After being confronted by angry fans in a hotel in Graz it is unlikely that the Ibrox Director of Football will be hanging around the lobby in Bergen this week.

Late on Sunday it was being reported that Rohl was back in contention for the manager’s job. Less than a week after walking away.
