With 79 words shortly before 10pm Statement FC announced the sacking of Russell Martin.
It has been a short but brilliant chapter in the Banter Years as the first ever vegan, Buddhist manager lasted just 17 matches in charge of the Ibrox Tribute Act.
Just last week Martin thought that he had turned the corner with a last gasp win at Livingston, alas wee Davie Martindale is the only SPFL Premiership boss with a defeat to Martin on his CV.

At 9.20pm on Sunday Sky Sports produced the yellow ticker tape announcing that Martin would be sacked, half an hour later it was confirmed on the club website
RANGERS Football Club confirms that it has parted company with Head Coach, Russell Martin.
While all transition periods require some time, results have not met the club’s expectations.
Assistant Head Coach, Matt Gill, and First-Team Coach, Mike Williamson, will also be departing.
Russell and his staff have worked exceptionally hard throughout their time at the club. We thank them for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
