Five days after walking away Danny Rohl is closing in on the manager’s job at Ibrox.
Over the course of nine days Steven Gerrard, Rohl and Kevin Muscat have all knocked the job back.
In each case the loyal messengers delivered upbeat updates before the ‘shock’ of the deals falling through.
After Gerrard turned the job down after two days of ‘constructive’ talks attention turned to Rohl.
Younger and less experienced that Russell Martin. In a head to head Sheffield Wednesday lost 4-0 to Martin’s Southampton side.
The reaction online from loyal bears was horrific. It ranged from the German Martin to Martin 2.0.
As we know the angry bears on message boards dictate all policies inside Ibrox.
The new owners tried to be hip by giving the job to a vegan, Buddhist but after 16 matches in charge Martin was hounded out. Last seen being escorted out of Falkirk by mounted police. In a car with blacked out windows!

While coming to terms with Muscat’s rejection The Sun dropped the news that Rohl is back in contention to take over as manager
News of Muscat’s knock-back came with a claim that a new manager would be appointed within days.
Whoever is in charge will have to host a media conference on Wednesday to preview the match with Brann Bergen.
Further twists are expected although they are unlikely to involve Neil McCann.
Last night the former Dundee boss was being comforted and supported by the BBC Scotland Support Network.
Kenny Macintyre was reported to be in a serious state of distress, going through packets of Monster Munch like others eat peanuts.

At best, Danny Bhoy is the very public THIRD choice as sevco manager.
It would be Martin all over again: bears will be disillusioned with the choice

But, how crazy would it be if Rohl turned down the ibrox club – again!
