Steven Gerrard is NOT returning to Ibrox, Again.
The Gullible & Deluded were whipped into a frenzy late this morning when a few bookmakers drastically cut the odds on the former Aston Villa boss performing another 180 degrees.
Even the bears realised that it only takes a few £20 bets to send the odds crashing but they did convince themselves that this time there was something to the odds crash.
DARING TO DREAM
With The Sun and Daily Record carrying the story they started to dare to dream.
Some even convinced themselves that Kev Thelwell had been sacked to clear the way for Gerrard’s return. Two for one, a flop out and the return of the one-in-nine legend. Perfect.
With nothing else happening today the club was happy to let the rumour circulate. Again that added to the anticipation, surely it would be denied if it was false.
Alas, late this afternoon the messengers were alerted. Nothing to it, no dramatic return, no white smoke, Gerrard is in Bahrain far from the angry crowds.
? Rangers have not re-approached Steven Gerrard despite the bookmakers’ odds for his return tumbling today ??https://t.co/uiD2HKgzyG

It appears that no progress has been made today. The club is afraid of the reaction to Danny Rohl and can’t afford the compensation for Kevin Muscat.
Neil McCann is on stand-by. He has his team, tactics and substitutions all in place for Saturday’s match against Dundee United.
All that is missing is that phone call. If it fails to come then he will fall back to a weekend double bill of BBC Scotland and Sky Sports.
With just one win and eight points from seven SPFL matches the pressure is on the Ibrox board going into the Dundee United match. In mid October there hasn’t been a home win in the SPFL at Ibrox.
In midweek the focus switches to the Europa League, going into matchday 3 with no points going to Brann Bergen.

All McCann wants his inevitable payout when he’s canned.
It’s going to happen.
“Out of work Danny Rohl has told Rangers he is no longer interested in becoming the next manager at Ibrox.”
Smart move by him…..
I see some sevco web sites are claiming they have a recording of ibrox hierarchy contacting Slippy again
