Djeidi Gassama is continuing a fine Ibrox tradition that has been passed on through both clubs.
The winger has gravity issues, in Scotland that is fine when you have John Beaton, Steven McLean, David Dickinson and others ready to award free-kicks when required.
Non-Scottish match officials are a problem, they apply the Laws of the Game in an entirely different way, unless a foul is committed they won’t award a free kick!
Gassama was the one real threat to Sturn Graz, out on the left wing he had their right-back on the back foot almost afraid to put in a challenge.
Trailing 2-0 at half time it was the former Sheffield Wednesday winger that got his side back into the match when he cut in from the left to net in the 49th minute.
After that every ball was pushed down the left to Gassama, he didn’t produce many crosses into the box but a free kick was always possible.

After the defeat Russell Martin was straight into self-defence mode as he blamed the defeat on the mentality of the players.
The recent wins over Hibs and Livingston were down to the tactical brilliance of the Head Coach with Martin playing for the sympathy vote as he dwelled on the levels of personal abuse that he is receiving from Ibrox fans.
The 1,200 away fans in Graz continued with that theme, whatever brilliant performances are being put in at Murray Park the overwhelming majority of supporters are just waiting on the news that their WOKE manager has been sacked.
On Sunday Martin takes his players to Falkirk knowing that regardless of the result fans want to see the international break used to install a new management team, preferably one that wears brogues and the club blazer with pride.

If ‘The Bairns’ win on Sunday the onion brats will go into one very serious, sustained tantrum.
Oh, the Banter Years, what would we do without them?
Good technique.
Sneaky kick out towards the opposition player, to ‘create’ the foul.
I’d give it an 8.5
🙂
Igassamma and diomande are a pair of dirty rotten cheats . Both of them are always trying to get fellow professionals sent off . Dirty horrible rats .
The new huns follow-followed in the old huns’ ‘tradition’ of cheating ‘everywhere, anywhere’.
Just consider part of a team talk by Walter Smith: “…..and give the referee a decision to make.” Just think about that.
FFS, don’t they make you want to boak? Their reference to ‘culture and traditions’ is equal to ‘cheating and lying and hating’ everything outside of themselves.
Pure and utter scum backed by the whole fukkin establishment of police, judiciary, banking, freemasonry and many politicians. WOW, what a fukkin country.
And pay heed to the monopoly game experiment in the USA. One was told the game was rigged in his favour but, even knowing that, his behaviour became entitled and scornful of his opponents. Does that ring any wee bells?
Yes but how come they scouted him, he is a good player. Same with Cerny.
Cheats then – Cheats now – Cheats forever – That’s Sevco for ya !
