BBC Scotland don’t even bother at attempting to provide balance to their football coverage.
Their ever expanding cast list of Ibrox contacts now dominates the pool of pundits on call to the state broadcaster.
CATES NO MORE
Earlier on in the World Cup campaign Kelly Cates was brought in to add some professionalism to the rare treat of live football.
The daughter of Kenny Dalglish provided some refreshing content alongside Scott Brown and Neil McCann.
It seems that was enough diversity for BBC Scotland as they reverted back to their old favourites for coverage from Athens.
Radio Scotland and BBC 1 were over represented in Greece as a cast bigger than the Scotland football squad enjoyed a few days in the sun with expenses paid for by the mugs that shell out £13 a month in their license fee.
They were also BBC Rangers. You have no credibility because there are so many. You even let them go to be interims and bring them back.

Back in Glasgow the leftovers were on duty.
DISHWATER SQUAD
Led by Steven Thommo Thompson. The very definition of dishwater, even James McFadden describes the former Rangers striker as dull and boring.
Thommo doesn’t have an ounce of enthusiasm, talent or personality. Which explains why he is perfect for BBC Scotland, no one in the commercial sector would touch him.
Neil McCann joined his EBT buddy in the studio. Still auditioning for a job at Ibrox, any job will do for wee Neily.
All that fake enthusiasm, the hand movements, the big expressions. Such a deep thinker, talking in his own wee world of tactics hoping that Kev Thelwell or Paddy Stewart will get back in touch. It has been a long wait.
And to tick that diversity box license payers got to hear the views of Leanne Crichton. In the summer she took charge of the Ibrox Ladies team, taking a step back from the regular BBC punditry work but not cutting it out completely.
What a trio they made.
Adding precisely nothing as they plodded through their scripted cliches. Adding nothing to the viewing experience.
At least it was a break from Kenny Macintyre’s crusade to get Auston Trusty a retrospective red card alongside a replay of the League Cup semi-final with Bobby Madden in charge and selecting his VAR officials.
Actually phoned my mate at HT to discuss their comments to the Greeks first goal. Not a mention of Soapy Soutters schoolboy defending. It was Hanley’s fault for being out of position. Unbelievable bias and cover up of Sevco’s prize asset.
Did not watch the Greece v Scotland game when I saw. those three Muppets
Don’t listen to them, or even watch them! Turn on to the Scotland game just before kick-off time.
As for commentaotrs, if you listen to them, you’ll miss what is going on in the game!
Took a dip into Wallow Wallow and Creighton admits to definitely being ‘one of them’
Bragging about her love for Lovenkrands and ‘Rangers’ as they were back then and being overawed in The 2002 Scottish Cup Final when he scored – She was a teenager then you know…
(I’m still hurting from that fuckin game when I was living in North Belfast)
It must be DEVASTATING for any Celtic supporter daft enough to be part paymasters for all The Sevco Huns employed at BBC Scotland…
Thank Fuck that I’m not one of them !
I take it I’m not the only one who noticed the negative attention given to Grant Hanley?
Apparently Scotland’s defensive woes were all down to him. Forget about Souttar’s leaden-footedness and appalling misjudgement of long through balls (not just last night, but every other week). God help us if we go to a world cup with that particular defensive pairing and Shay whatever his name is up front.
Apart from a mistake for the 3rd goal for Greece,a 68 year old goalkeeper was probably our best player. The least said about Clark’s set up the better.
Raw emotion might get Scotland over the line against Denmark, but i wouldn’t bet on it.
To be honest I’d still like to see Scotland do it,but the thought of that BBC lot throughout a world cup??? That tempers enthusiasm somewhat. I don’t know that I’d have the stomach for it.
Born a Scot, supported Celtic for over 50 years, and I want Scotland to win and qualify with every fibre of my being.
What if they meet ROI in the Play-Offs?
To think that all those pure creeps will have a field day for free if Scotland qualify. A holiday of a life time, for talking gobbledygook all day long and all expenses paid.
It’s enough to make you sick!
In fact, I’ll tell you who’ll be going to America and the World Cup if Scotland qualify. All the Huns who haven’t had a good holiday for years and they’ll take their wean with them!
They’ll all be wearing England shirts under their Scotland ones. They’ll have a field day and they’ll do it on the cheap, booking it on the internet or as a package holiday.
There won’t be many Tims following Scotland to America and the World Cup.
Yep I’d want Scotland to qualify as I was born here…
But I fuckin detest The SFA and The SPFL and The Scummy Scottish Football Media as well…
As maister says it’s sickening that they’ll all be on the expensive jolly…
If only a suicidal pilot would drive them into a mountainside rock…
The ones in paragraph two only and not of course Scotland players, medical staff, air host / hostesses or fans !
The point being they’e all cheapskates!
They do it on the cheap or else they get others to pay for it for them!
