On Friday Celtic stage their 2025 AGM. Chaired by Peter Lawwell with most of the questions directed at Michael Nicholson.
It will be a year since the Celtic CEO was last heard in public.
He does attend the haphazard and secretive Fans Forums, on October 6 he met with various groups at a meeting driven by the Celtic Fans Collective.
At best Nicholson’s performance at that event was underwhelming. It was summed up by the shrugging of his shoulders when asked about club signings being approved by the manager.
This will be Nicholson’s fourth AGM as CEO, there has been nothing informative offered at the previous AGM’s.
His favourite tactic is to pass questions to others on the podium, it is almost his default.
At the 2023 AGM Nicholson gave his famous ‘penalty to Rangers’ reply to a question about John Beaton.
Friday’s audience may not be as appreciative to Nicholson’s biting humour with almost every area of Celtic in need of drastic action.
Celtic statement September 6
Was that statement world class? Did you see it before publication at 8.40pm on a Saturday night.
What are the Financial Sustainability issues that Celtic faced. Surely on the back on years of growing profits the club is nowhere near falling foul of UEFA regulations?
January and summer transfer windows?
Were they world class. Did the club achieve what it set out to do? Do you think that at the end of each of those transfer windows the squad was strengthened?
League Cup semi-final officiating?
Were you satisfied by the level of officiating at that match? The post match narrative is all about how our opponents were on the wrong end of decisions.
Willie Collum’s VAR Review avoided four key incidents. What explanation did you get from the SFA on the VAR lines at the Raskin own goal? No punishment for Mohamed Diomande aiming his knee at Johnny Kenny’s head, no review of the Reo Hatate penalty claim or handball from Michel-Ange Balikwisha cross.
European success?
Is it true that you believe that simply competing in European competition is a success. Surely Celtic can realistically aspire to be in the Champions League group phase four seasons out of five? Why is the team repeatedly ill prepared for Champions League qualifiers. Failing in each of the last five attempts to qualify.
A Champions League club?
Last season Celtic took 12 points from eight group stage matches. How often will that be repeated in the next five seasons? What steps are being taken to ensure qualifications for next season’s Champions League?
When will Celtic next play 10 Champions League matches in the same season?

The Celtic Fans Collective will be building up to the AGM across social media.
They are not interested.
Celtic, a Board like no other.
Question 1:Why are you still in a job ?
Question 2: What do you do exactly ?
Question 3 : Why the constant invisible man routine ?
Question 4 : Who sanctioned your employment initially ?
Question 5 : Why don’t you do the right thing ..and resign your post ?
Spot on there same needs to be asked about the ex labour mp getting 40 grand for who knows what ?
What are the odds that Nancy is announced on Thursday…?
(Although I’d rather have MON to season end, to then bring in a more experienced manager,
and definitely not a ‘Head Coach’.)
Would be much happier if PL announced his retirement on Thursday though! 🙂
Question 1 – Why don’t you fuck off (Lucan)…
Question 2 – Why don’t you fuck off as well (Daddy)…
Question 3 – And Why don’t you fuck off too (Sly)…
The only thing that’s “world class” is their level of incompetence, complacency, contempt for the fans and smug self-congratulatory backslapping.
