  1. If they want to remember then do it elsewhere after the treatment the Irish, and I say IRISH, not the Huns from the North, who wear the orange, but all Catholic people from the Ireland and still they try to impose their prodigy way on us . I served in the forces for ten years and I believe that the Crown should be paying for veterans homes, and not donation from the public! And get their bigamous king too fund all the homes, after he gets rid of some of the ones he has all over the country! In fact sell them and turn them into “ veterans homes”!,, See then how “concerned” the crown are about the “war wounded!

    1. You think the state should give you a home and a living because you are a Veteran?
You are alive unlike other soldiers who fought for their country.
If the state were to provide a living and accomodation just because you served your country, just think what sort of army we would have?!

  2. Ban these arseholes permanently. Ashamed to be a Celtic supporter yesterday. No poppies on the shirts despite the fact that 16 Celtic players died in the wars. Clowns booing during the minutes silence. We might have Irish roots but we are a SCOTTISH team. Disgraceful from the club and the morons.

Editor: Take your outrage over to CQN- why did the poppy festival invade football in 2000? It certainly wasn’t about in the fifties or sixties. Head to your local war memorial to show your respect- or is that too private? We know who the morons are Tony.

    1. Tony should be ashamed of himself expecting Celtic fans and players to embrace the poppy especially given the recent soldier f verdict.
Celtic are a Scottish club in form because they play in Scotland; they are however an Irish Club in substance and heart.

  3. You’re the arsehole Tony , if only more people inside Celtic Park were vocal against this only recent grotesque tradition , the board would think twice about ever having this kind of thing in paradise. Try learning a bit of history before you post any nonsense again. ARSEHOLE .

  4. There’s innocent Irish blood on those poppies. Not least from
    “Bloody Sunday”
in Doire in 1972. British soldiers fired live ammunition on a Civil Rights March, killing fourteen unarmed men. No-one in the British Services has ever been convicted for those murders.
If you buy a poppy you are supporting those actions of the British soldiers. Why would you?
    Keep it!

  5. If you don’t wanna see Brit Forces benefit then please add The Celtic Charity Foundation to the ‘Not Another Penny’ campaign…

I wonder how much they got this year from that organisation…

Remember it will filter its way to Erskine no doubt to aid many a trigger happy (now old men) that took the lives of our fellow Gaelic kith and kin in The six occupied counties in The Island of Ireland !
