Stonewaller- media silence on the Hatate penalty Celtic were denied at Hampden

The hysteria of legacy media continues at pace following Celtic’s victory in the League Cup semi-final.

There has been forensic coverage of incidents involving Auston Trusty and Tony Ralston while the Derek Cornelius assault on Johnny Kenny is barely a footnote in the post match coverage.

BBC Scotland is leading the attacks. The shameful state broadcaster that allowed Billy Dodds to claim that Trusty raked his studs across Jack Butland’s face. Dodds went unchallenged as the BBC team looked over pictures provided by Premier Sports.

So-called good guy presenter Richard Gordon didn’t offer any suggestion of a correction. He knows where his bread is buttered.

SETTING THEIR AGENDA

The legacy narrative is that Trusty should have been sent off for the Butland incident. Some are comparing it to Thelo Aasgaard’s over the top assault on Ralston.

The Celtic defender should of course had a second yellow for the 80th minute penalty with no reference to the push from Bojan Miovski.

Throw in the red card that Daizen Maeda somehow avoided for his chest/neck high kung-fu attack on Mohamed Diomande and the full picture starts to emerge.

Nick Walsh is in the spotlight because he is apparently a closet Celtic fan. Even in his day job at Boclair Academy, the partnership school for the Murray Park starlets.

Steven McLean and Andrew Dallas are barely getting a mention. You don’t need a Private Investigator to know what they are.

CELTIC PENALTY ANYONE?

The incident above certainly doesn’t suit the narrative of the BBC and other legacy publishers.

During the first half of extra-time Reo Hatate is turning past James Tavernier onto a long throw-in.

From virtually nowhere Mikey Moore bundles the Celtic midfielder to the ground allowing the ball to reach Butland.

With Celtic leading 2-1 time was at a premium. Walsh wasn’t going to review it. That would involve a stoppage with his colleagues McLean and Dallas in the spotlight.

CELTIC’S STANDARD SILENCE

It took until late on Monday night for the clip to surface. Naturally on social media. A few hours after Statement FC had been fuelling the paranoia of their moon-howling supporters.

As usual Celtic remain silent. No effort is made to challenge media coverage, that is left to fan media and social media content.

With Brendan Rodgers no longer manager Celtic have restored a separate media conference for their newspaper partners.

Communications Manager Iain Jamieson is behind the move. Proving The Sun, Daily Mail, Scotsman, Herald, Daily Record and others with embargoed access to Martin O’Neill.

It is as if Celtic wish to keep those titles going a little longer while readers desert them in their thousands to discover the real issues elsewhere.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

Who should be listend too the ex “the rangers” players,SMSM, the ex “the rangers players” turned pundits, “and there are many of them” Pundits “frightened to say what they see and not what they are told to say. Or 7 yes 7 former and current grade 1 referees who have those pesky things called RULES in front of them. Every single one of them who spoke said Trusty was silly..But every single one of those QUALIFIED GRADE 1 referees 7 of them agreed that the referee called it…RIGHT ….of the 4 former referees 1 wrote on behalf of “the rangers” and of the 3 current referees 1 his brother played for “the rangers” 1 trains the “the rangers” youths. And before the village idiot “boyd” gives his tuppence worth here is a quote from the brain of Britain himself on CELTIC a game from the past when we felt upset at a decision …we can all have opinions BUT THE ONLY ONE THAT COUNTS IS THE REFEREES….I wonder if the village idiot will agree with that quote and the 7 referees…or..his “the rangers” supporting mates

On the news this am, BBC have doctored a Trump speech.
That organisation has long since left behind any semblance of fair, unbiased reporting, and that’s why BBC Scotland is as rank rotten as it is.
Frankie, your complaint will be filed under “ don’t give a fuck” by a hun sympathiser.
You would need to complain to the very top in England, and include the list of ex Sevco and current Sevco players involved in the media here to even stand a chance of it being given the slightest attention.

  • Harold Shand says:

Good old Lint one of the best accounts on there

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

If that guy Jamieson had a daughter that was beaten to pulp by a bad Sevco partner he’d be the very guy serving him the next Sunday roast and tatties…

Well that’s the way he is with The Scummy Scottish Football Media so it is !

  • Valentine's day massacre says:

The BBC Scottish version opened it’s ‘ sport ‘ segment on reporting Scotland last night with the comment , ‘ Steve Clark has a ‘ goalkeeping headache ‘ to contend with ! Trying to be cute ! As snide a cross reference you will ever hear or see obviously heavily linked to the Trusty/ Butland non event the day before ! Those bunch of ranch hands are up to their knees in biased commentary and coverage . We all know which clumpany is the apple of its eye …don’t we ? Using our money to fund it all with impunity …..

Don’t pay the BBC TV LICENCE , haven’t done since 2021, all you get is the odd warning letter reminder telling you it’s an offence, the enforcement have no powers , literally salesmen if they do turn up at your door, simply close it in their face , more Fool you for contributing to the BBC if you pay for their biased lies.

      • Jim m says:

        PS,
That wasn’t directed at you valentine’s day massacre, that’s for anyone who does still pay for their shite TV.

      • Jim m says:

That wasn’t directed at you personally valentine’s day massacre, just to anyone that still pays for their biased shitey TV stations.

      • Magua says:

Well done, Jim. I have been a TV licence non-payer for well over a decade. I used to just bin the letters from Darlington. Nowadays, I return to sender, with a detailed explanation as to why I no longer will pay for the bigotfest that is based on Pacific Quay. Their letters get fewer year on year. I fear they don’t love me anymore. ???

        Hail Hail.

  • Eddie McKelvies Capri says:

The Laptop Loyal Lapdogs of the Scottish Mainstream Media know exactly what they are doing. In addition on the BBC and Broadcast Media the best Celtic Supporters can hope for on each incident which escapes censure is either a giggle from the assembled Sevco Supporting Stooges or a “Not for me”.The Line up of Talking Heads on Premier Sports was the most Neanderthal ever. NL with his Axe to grind ( loved the pally pally “Gaffer” to MON ?) SD and AH, dyed in the wool Blue Noses and CM with the intellect of a broken log. Shocking..

  • the maister says:

    That’s defineitely the
