With criticism pouring in from all angles it appears that Wilfried Nancy has returned to social media.
Yesterday a new profile picture appeared on a long dormant Twitter account that seems to belong to the new Celtic boss.
It was the sort of touchy feely waffle that Nancy had delivered through two media conferences earlier on Tuesday.
THE NANCY SHOW
All about himself. His incredible experiences. How he succeeds and worst of all how Celtic is on the right track.
During every training session things are apparently getting better.
He is still pushing the claim about how well Celtic played in the first half against Hearts, second half against Roma and at Hampden against St Mirren.
True Celtic weren’t as bad as in the other half of those matches but it was grim viewing for supporters.
It is utterly delusional to claim that Celtic have put in a decent 45 minutes in either of Nancy’s three matches in charge. Over 270 minutes it would be a stretch to put together 45 convincing minutes.
The new manager is deep into Russell Martin territory when he is telling fans through the media about how well training sessions are going.
This came from the horses mouth, but I would be lying to say this doesn’t look like him.
The official Montreal and MLS accounts follow him, plus a pinned tweet about Columbus. It’s not looking good bruv ? https://t.co/FT3mMx5rzP pic.twitter.com/TIH7j3lVsP

Should Wilfried Nancy be sacked by Celtic?
YES: He is miles short of what is needed
NO: Give him time, he is on the right lines
Authenticating Twitter accounts is always a dangerous business.
But this account seems the real deal. It stopped tweeting in 2019 as Nancy moved up to become assistant coach at Montreal. There is a pinned tweet full of sugary nonsense thanking the Columbus Crew family as he left for Celtic on December 5.
AUTHENTIC
Almost all of the content is in French, much of it reflecting on Nancy’s successes as a coach in Canada.
It is a helluva stretch to suggest that anyone followed Nancy closely during that period, put the account on hold then decided to change the profile two days after losing to St Mirren at Hampden.
Tonight at Tannadice there will be a very impatient Celtic support filling the two stands behind Nancy’s technical area.
So far anger at results has been aimed at the board, mainly Peter Lawwell. So far, Nancy has been spared but the mood changed at Hampden.
If he insists on playing three at the back, Liam Scales as an overlapping left winger and most players out of position the mood will change.
The walk from the technical area at Tannadice to the tunnel can be long and lonely.
If Nancy is feeling sorry for himself, if he thinks that his gas-lighting is working he is in for a shock.
A look elsewhere on Twitter/X should bring him up to speed with the views of Celtic fans.
He is living day by day, defeat by defeat. Sticking to his own brilliant systems is taking him down a rabbit hole.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to hear chants for Martin O’Neill to ring out from the away fans at Tannadice tonight.
Pre-match Nancy will have to do interviews with Sky Sports and Radio Scotland. Every word is being watched.

X certificate pish off the field…
Coupled with XXX certificate shite on it…
I don’t care about that X social media – A thing I’ve never ever been on…
But I Very much care about the on field stuff of course…
Last chance saloon to win tonight I’m afraid for Nancy Boy !
Celtic fans lining up to have a pop at our own manager? 10 days into the job? Sad times man
Anyone else think we are watching a squad perform the way wee bawwy’s did when he was leading a revolt to get shot of Le Guen?
I wouldn’t condone any pro players behaving like that, but if they know defeats are the only way to get shot of him, combined with MiB’s only too happy to see us beaten, I doubt very much we’ll come out of this game with much at all.
Just as they performed for Rogers, and mostly the same with O’Neil, if with somewhat more luck to go with the dire football .
Is Wilfried obliged to do all these interviews by the SFA, or can he ask his assistant Kwame Ampadu to do them until Celtic starts winning. That’s what I would do, to reduce “stress overload”. I won’t say pray to Saint Jude yet, because the players can turn things around by themselves,
although it should help.
Editor: It is an SPFL requirement for management to hold media conferences. Celtic help out their newspaper friends by providing additional access to the Record, Sun and others.
He obviously believes in the “curates egg” school of evaluation…..
