David Dickinson has a lengthy charge sheet of giving strange decisions against Celtic.
On Sunday it got ridiculous as he forced Celtic players to wait for their opponents to get into place for a corner.
During the usual run of time wasting from Aberdeen Dimitar Mitov required treatment for an injury midway through the first half.
Almost every goalkeeper visiting Celtic Park picks up a mystery injury.
DICKINSON OFFERS A BREATHER
Mitrov’s team-mates trotted off pitch-side for instructions from Jimmy Thelin while the physio dealt with the ‘injured’ goalkeeper.
The ‘keeper’s recovery caught almost everyone by surprise. Arne Engels was ready to take the corner with the Dons ‘keeper fully ‘recovered’.
Dickinson delayed Celtic taking the corner!
He waited for the Dons to organise their team in preparation for the corner. After they had spend a few minutes getting updated instructions from the bench.
Football is a game of fine margins. Celtic were playing to the rules, Dickinson delayed the restart when the game had already been delayed two minutes.
It is a typical decision in Celtic matches. On Sunday Celtic had 72.9% possession, the free kick count was 12 for Celtic, 13 for Aberdeen, a regular pattern in the Scottish game.
Basically Celtic had three quarters of possession with the foul count evenly split.

Dickinson is a member of the Renfrewshire Refereeing Association, from Facebook it is clear that his family are all fans of the 2012 Ibrox Tribute Act.
On Saturday Dickinson will referee Motherwell’s trip to Ibrox, he is bound to have some family members in the crowd.
In Scotland referees don’t need to declare any conflicts of interest.
If you are a fan of a club, live within 15 miles of a ground or work in the area you are free to referee matches involved in that club.

I was talking about this, this morning what is the law of the game regarding this. Anyway it doesn’t matter those reptiles of a board of ours won’t ask for clarification on it so refs know they can do what they want.
