Troubling reports for Hearts fans have emerged today about Tony Bloom.
Earlier this year the ‘entrepreneur’ bought at 29% stake in the Edinburgh club accompanied by all sorts of claims about winning trophies.
Football, especially Scottish football, has a track record for letting in ‘investors’ with dubious backgrounds.
If you promise success and throw money at a club you are given messiah status and virtually a free pass.
Once inside football it opens business doors that would otherwise be closed.
Vladimir Romanov, Dave King, Dave Murray, Brooks Mileson and others have been given the red carpet treatment by the SFA.
Bloom has built up a stable of clubs across European football but it seems that some serious questions are about to be asked about his business background.
No one involved in football can gamble of anything to do with football outcomes. That applies from the groundsmen through to the boardroom.
This afternoon The Times broke some big news on the background of the man bank rolling the title challenge of Derek McInnes.

SSB Crack reports:
In a stunning development, Tony Bloom, owner of Brighton & Hove Albion, faces serious allegations regarding his involvement in a secretive £600 million gambling syndicate. This syndicate purportedly places bets on football matches using accounts linked to notable figures, including George Cottrell, a former chief of staff to Nigel Farage.
Bloom, a billionaire businessman and seasoned gambler, has been under scrutiny following a court filing by Ryan Dudfield, a former employee of Starlizard, a betting advisory firm owned by Bloom. Dudfield claims he is owed £17.5 million in profits from the betting activities that utilized Cottrell’s offshore accounts. The documents outline that the syndicate employed “exotic accounts” on behalf of Bloom, with Cottrell acting as a high-stakes gambler, often referred to as a “whale.”
Hearts are currently in top place in the SPFL Premiership and take on Kilmarnock tonight.
On Sunday they face Celtic in what looks certain to be a match that decides which club goes into top place in the Premiership.
It is unlikely that Ian Maxwell and the SFA will make any comment on the situation and how it effects Hearts.

I am sure the SFA will have done extreme due diligence and found that his entrepreneurial enterprise is in no way a conflict of interest, in fact its fine if he like a gamble, everyone likes a wee bet now an again.Fit n Proper and all that.
Who amongst us has never played a Fitba Caird, thats betting on football at the end of the day. Scottish Football must attract these high flying sorts if we are to fully deliver the ABC, its not like the Govan 99ers are going to cause just like they 99, they melted under the pressure of the summer.
If he is working alongside Real Ale lover Farages ex CoS, then that shows that he is pure on the money when it comes to governance and being above board.
The English FA have previously given him an exemption from their betting rules.

“Any tips, Tony?” said no-one on the SFA, ever.
2nd biggest sport scandal of the century…….
