Hearts enjoyed an enormous stroke of good fortune in their 2-0 win away to Falkirk.
There can be no doubt that the Edinburgh side are being treated as a serious threat to Celtic.
After losing an early goal Falkirk played their way back into the match, finding space behind the Hearts central defence.
Shortly before half time Kyrell Wilson raced into space and rounded Hearts goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow
PENALTY AGAINST HEARTS?
From an angle Wilson shot towards goal. Harry Milne had raced back towards the goal-line, raced his right arm with the ball coming off his elbow for a corner.
The new slim-line Douglas Ross didn’t flag for a penalty.
Rookie referee Calum Scott didn’t want to make a decision.
With Andrew Dallas on VAR there was no chance of Falkirk getting a penalty. Dallas also missed the Reo Hatate and Michel-Ange Balikwisha penalty claims in the LeagueCup semi final.

Clearly Falkirk should have been awarded a penalty. Milne deliberately raised his right arm to block the ball, in that case he should have been sent off.
These days Willie Collum is pushing the subjectivity card. Basically it allows match officials to disregard the Laws of the Game and make their own decision.
SKY SPORTS AND THE COLLUM INFLUENCE
Back in the Sky Sports studio Kris Boyd led the laughter and giggles. Of course it wasn’t a penalty, anyone suggesting that was clearly pushing a conspiracy.
There is no conspiracy in Scottish football refereeing. Willie Collum modelled his game on his hero Hugh Dallas.
Dallas Senior groomed Collum and others in the Lanarkshire Refereeing Association.
The new batch of referees such as Scott, Ross Hardie and Duncan Nicolson are all Collum clones. They know the route to the top domestic fixtures and lucrative European appointments.
Penalty all day long. Very poor punditry from the apologists. Deflect deflect. If they cannot see him move hand to ball, the games lost.

Mibbees we need a Scottish version of VAR – to ‘help’ our match officials…?
Every outfield player has to wear ‘sleeves’ under their shirts / over hands,
with sensors. Ball hits hand/arm, sensor indicates foul.
No interpretation needed.
Like the ‘ball over the goal line’ sensors?
Never going to happen of course, but any and all subjectivity has to be taken out
of the game wherever possible…or, we’ll still be discussing ref/VAR errors for many
more years?
I’m just glad I no longer attend The SPFL Premier League !
