Not Another Penny bites deep inside Celtic

Celtic have announced an upto 50% sale for their online store. Many items are available at an even bigger discount.

The Adidas Original long sleeve jersey was released last season at a price of £72.25 Happy Clappers can now snap it up for just £17.

Last season’s home shorts were priced at £32.30 but can now be bought for just £12.75.

THE GOLDEN GOOSE

Quite clearly there are significant levels of stock lying around in warehouses. Equally clearly the Not Another Penny campaign from the Celtic Fans Collective is having a serious impact.

A year ago Adidas and Celtic were churning out fresh items every month, sometimes more frequently.

‘Take my money’ was a regular reply on social media. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook would be awash with fans showing off their new Celtic gear.

Over the course of 2025 Celtic have killed that Golden Goose.

All because the club took the huff over being asked seven questions from a tweet!

From that moment on September 3 the club has almost burned the house down in terms of fan relationships.

It will take more than the promise of a new app and an upgrade for Celtic TV to turn the tide.

FANS TURN OFF THE TAP

The petulance of the club is incredible. They have failed to grasp that every penny of income basically comes from supporters. The anti-establishment fans that Ross Desmond hit out at spectacularly at the 2025 AGM.

Celtic’s income streams doesn’t come from the personality and charisma of Michael Nicholson.

It isn’t down to goodwill towards Peter Lawwell or Chris McKay.

While the club executives hide in the bunker, treating the anti-establishment fans as mugs the tills at the stores will be quiet with online activity minimal.

It could all change quite quickly but clearly the club would rather ban supporters than engage and communicate.
