Celtic fans have utterly trashed Peter Lawwell’s heart-breaking confession to Hugh Keevins in the Daily Record.
It was an apt piece to pull the curtain down on 2025 for the veteran reporter.
Sharing the anger and frustrations of two elderly men realising that their time has come and gone.
Looking back fondly on past glories. The so-called good old days.
OLD FIRM FRIENDS UNITED
Two men who owe everything that they have in life to the vile O** F*** myth.
Men who have encouraged and made a living out of racist songs of hate- and the accompanying actions.
On Saturday that product will be inside Celtic Park. Spewing out their hatred for all things Irish and/or Catholic.
Over the years Keevins and Lawwell have rubbed their hands and grown their bank accounts with glee.
Alas that magic money tree died in 2012.
Keevins and Lawwell have dedicated the last 13 years to pretending that 2012 didn’t happen. They both know that it did. Neither can adjust to the post-liquidation reality of Scottish football.
Both yearn for simpler times when trophies were shared.
When the pesky customers knew their place. Throw them some moonbeams through red top messengers and everyone was happy.
2025 is just too uncomfortable for the old men. Their battles have been lost, life will never be the same. Neither can cope.

It was tear filled stuff presented to the Record’s army of readers. Those readers are now veterans, falling rapidly in numbers but a place of comfort for Pete and Shug.
Every claim made was a nonsense. Easily trashed.
At the 2025 AGM Lawwell shouted BEHAVE at Celtic shareholders. He invited Ross Desmond to attack and trash supporters and shareholders before cutting his speech short.
The AGM was aborted after less than an hour. Keevins didn’t ask his old pal about that.
He never asked about the failure to sign John McGinn in 2018, one of his favourite subjects.
Perhaps Lawwell just dictated down the phone? Maybe he just sent an email and left his old pal at the Record to add the flowery bits.
Lawwell takes a step back from being Chairman on Wednesday evening. Leaving just his place-men led by Michael Nicholson to hold the club back.
With the circulation of the Sunday Mail below 35,000 it can’t be long before they call time on the Keevins column. That should give Pete and Shug time to head down to the bowling club, remind each other of the good old days and curse the age of enlightenment that left both badly exposed.

He wouldn’t engage with his dissatisfied, paying customers – and shareholders – other than recently bark “behave!” at some of them.
But, in his last days as Chairman, he chose to reach out to a thoroughly discredited ‘journalist’ instead…?
Lawwell leaves Celtic as a rich man, but his reputation is worthless.
And there was me thinking MC Gowan of the Herald was Peter the Pumpkin eater’s favourite poodle and go to guy to treacle over his tales of woe … not the QE2 ?

Not another penny
Today,we said goodbye to a TRUE Celtic great.
John Dixie Deans was a goalscorer who earned every penny he ever collected from the club.
He will be be sadly missed, unlike the fat parasite who has done his damndest to hold back the club he allegedly loves.
The only ones mourning Lawwell’s demise,apart from his immediate family,will be the bottom feeders at CQN and those of that ilk.
It makes me laugh to hear him hleat about his home address being leaked on the Internet, all anyone need do to locate the slug’s abode is wait for the first cold snap and look for the only driveway without a hint of frost or snow.
Good riddance and hopefully the rest of the trough feeders in the Celtic boardroom will be gone just as quickly.
