The combined ‘might’ of the Scottish broadcast media today failed the Celtic support. Again.
This afternoon Wilfried Nancy was again served up for their combined ridicule with Celtic fan media excluded. Apparently Nancy was speaking to preview a match against Roma although the new manager was mainly there to justify himself.
The ban on fan media is by order of Communications Manager Iain Jamieson.
CELTIC BAN ON FAN MEDIA
It seems that having fan media on a rota, allowing two outlets in per media conference to ask one question was too much for Jamieson, a Celtic employee of over 25 years.
Since Brendan Rodgers resigned Jamieson has reinstated a separate slot for newspapers. Handing them exclusive content as they attempt to remain relevant.
Those stories appear online at 10.30pm, the next day an out of touch elderly audience will actually pay money to read the same content in print! Not many but across Scotland tomorrow around 35,000 will part with money to read the Daily Record.
Sky Sports, Radio Clyde and STV led the questioning. In total the media conference lasted 11and a half minutes.
None of them thought to ask the basic question of ‘how does the squad look’ in relation to injuries.
Were there any injuries picked up in the Hearts match?
CELTIC INJURY NEWS
This morning in the 90 second training clip from Lennoxtown James Forrest was out on the training pitch. No one thought to ask if he could be in the squad to face Roma on Thursday night.
Supporters are looking for news on who is available, who isn’t.
Kelechi Iheanacho hasn’t played since October 23 when he picked up an early injury against Sturm Graz.
He was an unused substitute away to Feyenoord and also against Hearts. With a Europa League tie and cup final coming up fans would like to know if the striker is ready to start a match or can come off the bench.
CELTIC COMMUNICATIONS
Marcelo Saracchi appeared to suffer a hamstring injury during the first half of the win over Dundee.
Neither Martin O’Neill or Nancy have been asked about the extent of the injury to the on loan defender.
At a recorded message during the AGM Michael Nicholson revealed that a new app and upgraded Celtic TV is on the way. No timeline was offered.
Basic information on injuries and availability is basic information. Vary few Celtic fans want to find out Nancy’s reaction when questioned by Gerry McCulloch about his thoughts on Scottish weather and Irn-bru.

I honestly don’t know what the fuck is happening to the Celtic that I love…
Or perhaps I do… DADDY, LUCAN, SLY !
