    1. The board had failings, as we all do, does anyone ponder the following….

Would we have £70 million in the bank if we had an overseas owner who didnt have celtic at heart?

Would rodgers have spunked more money on deadwood if the board backed him?

Did the board know rodgers was leaving so maybe didnt want to throw more money at rodgers players, and keep it for a more permanent next manager!

Is every board member a celtic fan?

Imagine if we got someone like the glazers at man utd, currently £1billion in debt, for a club that turns over £600 million a year.

Are the celtic collective actually being played like fiddles by the smsm

For what its worth, you and most of your readers are tearing our club apart, and doing hearts and rangers a favour in the process!

Editor: Here we have a happy clapper! Welcome over from the Celtic Thick News cult.

Rangers died in 2012, I know it heart breaking for you and other O** F*** fans but it happened. Celtic’s friends in legacy media are heading the same way.

I will let the hundreds of contributors on here set the record straight on your corporate hero, Five (Six) Way Agreement Peter.

Normally I don’t tolerate your type but since it is a day of celebration you can have 24 hours before returning to join the mourning on Thick News.

  1. Aye..blamin celtic fans for it..an absolute liar and scum bag of a man…you’ll no be missed ya piece a sh it

  2. The domino’s are falling and they are starting to crack and feel the pressure, let’s not take that foot of their throat.

    1. Its a rat trap Peter – and you’ve been CAUGHT!

      One for the Celtic Da’s.

Win, draw, or lose tonight, I’ll be having a drink to celebrate.

This is a great day for the fans. Well done to everyone who helped make this happen.

The club belongs to us, the real Celtic fans.

  3. Bleating? Yes, no doubt!
But if he received real threats and abuse, then surely that is a matter between him and the Law.
Or is it just more bleating?
    Yes?
    Probably!

  4. 1 PONCE gone, how many more now before we are LEECH free.

Editor: Enjoy your brief stay Bhenny Bhoy, it will be brief on account of your previous.

  5. We await the mind-bending memoir with bated breath. I’m sure either the tone or the title of Dr Michael Kelly’s “Paradise Lost” will be brought to mind…..

  6. A serial liar of Trumpian proportions, he leaves with no dignity or good name.

I hope it was worth all the dosh you scoundrel.

One rogue down, hopefully the rest of the parcel to follow.

  7. Now watch the usual suspects coming out and vilifying our support for despicable threats to a good Celtic man etc etc

The same ones who said sweet fa when a manager recently got escorted out of a stadium for his own safety

Anyway , that’s one down and more to go

  8. That was always the easiest / cheapest position to vacate – to try and buy some goodwill.

But, PL should have stepped down BEFORE the AGM.

Then the AGM might have actually happened?

And, even in his leaving statement he gets it all wrong: permanently tone deaf as well.

He took out a lot more than he put into the club.

    Next up: Tisdale and/or Nicholson…

  9. Can’t even step down with any dignity. Attack, attack on the very fans of the club he supposedly loves. I am sick of hearing this nonsense from that toxic board. Where is the proof in these allegations. Oh, hang on there isn’t any. The only thing he’s sorry about is that the gravy train has now dried up. Tosser. One down, a few more to go.

  10. he knows they made a right pigs ear of it with this new manager and doesn’t want to be around when the shit hits the fan , BR named him right the ” Coward ” he didn’t survive for long after the hatchet job they did on him , Karma !!!!

    1. Nicholson must be made of tungsten if he can handle all this ‘abuse’. Wonder which paradise island home accrued on the back of average earnings Celtic Fans PL will visit first on his retirement. Celtic fans now being very unfairly portrayed nationally as intended by these disgusting charlatans

Editor: Nicholson is made of chocolate, with his mentor and hero distancing himself from the shambles Nicholson will disappear like snow. Not a day too soon.

  11. Fkn lying coward lawwell, what else did we expect from a shameless charlatan, blaming fans for his decision to step down instead of his own inept self imposed failure, good fkn riddance, sleekit and self serving to the end .

  12. Looking forward to your smiley face on trinity Tim’s
lol best news of the day . Onwards we go work to do people still to say bye bye to.

Editor: We are planning a30 minute special for tomorrow. Ice cream and jelly expected.

  13. He should never have been allowed back after the ten in a row season where we ended up playing more loan players than we owned.

Celtic supposedly had one of their famous “internal inquiries” and Lawwell stepped down, presumably because he was the person found to be at fault. So why was he ever brought back?

If he wasn’t the person at fault, then who was because that person is still there.

Anyway watch now as history is rewritten by a media who never believed him when he was CEO or Chairman and who will now call him a paragon of truth.

  14. Good riddance you vacuous, morale void of a man, a career engorged with ones fat snout in the trough that we paid for, reprehensible brass necked plutocratic with a side of horrible criminal bastard!!

You are a disgrace and a stain on the history of the football club. Yer sons a useless wank anaw.

Keep the heads rolling. This is it…..this is it…..

    Sack the board
    Ross Desmond’s lunch money next…

  15. At first I thought this was a planned exit and then thought why did he not wait until the end of the season. Hopefully it’s rats deserting a sinking ship because they’ve messed up big time and need to save the Christmas merchandise sales. We need to keep up the pressure as Desmond will be choosing the successor. More heads need to roll, a boycott before January could see off another one. Let’s face it, if the football stays the same we’re better off outside than in.

  16. Well isn’t that the typical narcissists response to a situation outwith their control.
A big man did it and ran away mum!
Most would just say thanks for the memories, but no, not Peter, not for him going with grace.
He’s been forced out, and he doesn’t like it one little bit, what’s more, he probably envisaged a dynasty at one point when our lad was there….oh dear.
Maybe Not Another Penny More has had an effect after all.
Good riddance, but no doubt DD will find another lackie.

  17. He has given The Celtic support a big parting shot…

Fine – I gave him some home truths so I’ll be big enough and ugly enough to take it back from him !
