Michael Nicholson was greeted by a brilliant banner at Tannadice tonight as Celtic lost 2-1 to Dundee United.
Celtic’s underwhelming CEO had spent a few minutes this afternoon condemning the anti-establishment fans that had dared to criticise Peter Lawwell.
That is the Chairman who couldn’t host an AGM due to the mildest of heckling. Who yelled BEHAVE at shareholders in his last public act as Chairman.
NICHOLSON AND CRONIES
At Tannadice away supporters are housed in the Jerry Kerr Stand which is adjacent to the Directors Box.
In a throwback to the classic banner from 2008 CELTIC’S SHAME had an arrow at the left hand side pointing to Nicholson and his cronies in the Directors Box.
Tom Allison, Sharon Brown, Brian Rose and Dermot Desmond opted out of attending, as did outgoing Chairman Lawwell.
Nicholson had Brian Wilson and Chris McKay providing support alongside serial freeloaders Kevin McQuillan, Tony Hamilton and Mark Hargreaves.
It is now four defeats in a row for the new Celtic manager. During the second half there were a few outbreaks of ‘Nancy Get Tae F***’ from the away support.
Nicholson, Wilson and McKay sat ashen faced watching their shambles. The one they managed through two transfer windows leading to the resignation of Brendan Rodgers.
O’NEILL TO NANCY
Martin O’Neill came in as interim, won seven out of seven domestic games before Nancy took charge. On the recommendation of Paul Tisdale.
On the watch of Nicholson Tisdale has risen from having a consultancy to Head of Football Operations and now recruiting a manager.
All of the back of 12 years of mediocrity at Exeter City before branding himself as Doctor Football.
Celtic fell for that and are now in freefall domestically as well as being also rans in Europe.

Dundee United had won three matches in the SPFL going into tonight’s match. They hadn’t beat Celtic in 11 years. Two goal in three minutes around the hour mark turned all those stats around.
Nancy is history. The shortest lived manager in Celtic’s history.
Now it is only a matter of time before Nicholson follows Lawwell out of Celtic. More have to follow.

I agree John, wage thieves, would get any manager the sack, and contrary to the rose tinted glasses brigade, Martins team often looked just like they have the past 4 games. Check out Martins last game in charge, there were many like that, bit of luck saved the day a few times. As for Feyenoord, a thing I thought impossible, a team with less confidence than us, Mittyland, and a fair percentage of Martins games , we were woeful, well tbh we were just like we are now, look great for a spell then disappear…

Editor: Unfortunately football matches last 90 minutes and require goals. Celtic had two efforts on target. Running players silly for 45 minutes isn’t a smart move when opponents pace themselves and are much more efficient and effective. Nancy is a consequence of Tisdale and Nicholson- employed and being paid miles above his ability.
When things were shaky at first under Ange you could at least see progress from game to game and giving him time would obviously pay off. Nancy on the other hand can’t get a side capable of looking good beyond 45mins…and that’s being generous.
I feel for him a bit because he’s been parachuted into a team that aren’t right for his system but if he can’t adapt at all against sides like Utd and St. Mirren then he’s the wrong man for the job.
That’s not his fault, it’s the fault of the fools who thought he was and they ALL need to go out the door at the same time he does.. which should be tonight. Get Otto out as well.

What I watched in the first 45 tonight was as good as, if not better than most of the football I’ve watched this season in the SPL, Kenny does great hold up work, but give him sitters and he seems to need 10 of them to make sure one goes in.
It’s certainly better than anything I’ve seen from Sevco.
This team just does’t seem capable of putting 2 halves together, which boggles the mind.
There was something there first half, but I doubt it will be enough to save WN.

If it’s even possible: bring him in to be an INDEPENDENT mediator, to try and start a dialogue between both sides.
Other than that, it’s just a continuous, escalating war of attrition between supporters and the Board – and nobody wins…
