Brian Wilson has made contact with the Celtic Fans Collective. But has snubbed a fresh offer to discuss the current stand off with supporters.
The former Labour MP took over as interim Chairman on January 1, four days later he was sacking one manager and appointing a ‘new’ interim boss.
INTERIM EVERYTHING, LED BY WILSON
The self declared best run club in Europe has an interim Chairman, an Interim Manager and a Chocolate Teapot as CEO.
Monday January 5 was a highly dramatic day in Celtic’s season of chaos.
The 3-1 defeat in the Glasgow Derby confirmed beyond all doubt that Wilfried Nancy had to be sacked. Many had given up on the soccerball Frenchman after the League Cup Final defeat from St Mirren.
Over the weekend the Collective arranged a meeting to discuss boycotting the home match against Dundee United.
Many individual fans had decided that they weren’t going back while Nancy was in the dug-out.
Over 100 Supporters Club had balloted fans with a majority coming out in favour of staying away.

From Pedrok’s timeline the decision to boycott was dropped when it was announced that Nancy had been sacked. The club had finally acted. Later on it was announced that Martin O’Neill was returning as interim boss, again, until the end of the season.
The statement for the return of O’Neill included a wish from Chairman Wilson for unity.
That prompted an open letter from the Collective to Wilson to sit down and talk things through. The letter was published on January 6.
SILENCE TO THE COLLECTIVE
THREE days later Wilson acknowledged the letter. The Collective responded again and have heard nothing back from the Chairman looking to bring unity to the club.
Wilson is a lifelong politician. Doing the absolute minimum with self interest the over-riding goal.
Clearly he is going through the motions in a box ticking exercise to pretend that there is a concern from the Board over the desperate state of the relationship with fans.
The Green Brigade have been suspended for three months.
In that time the Collective has grown in strength. Not Another Penny has hit the club hard. Thousands of families avoided any Celtic spending on Christmas gits.
Wilson wouldn’t dare to go out of his way to find a truce in the fall out with fans. Ifhe did he might get a warning from Dermot Desmond and reminded that he is Chairman in name only.
Desmond shows no interest in attending a match any time soon. He has even less interest in uniting the club and restoring some atmosphere as Martin O’Neill tries to salvage a title from the carnage created by Paul Tisdale.
NOTE: I’m looking for two tickets for the Auchinleck match on Sunday, please email me if you have two spares.

Not a chance that Nicholson or Wilson would actually think for themselves.
MON is the ONLY person at Celtic Park who could resolve this utter mess
If our directors cannot see that the TEAM needs support ON & OFF the park then they deserve to be sacked – abused and chased down London Road & beyond
Yes, you would think that being a politician, he would have an initial meeting
with the Collective – get that photo opportunity – and ‘listen to their grievances’.
That would at least generate some much needed positivity for the club / Board?
The fact that he’s not met the Collective after almost 2 weeks does suggest that he
is not allowed to – as strange as that may sound? DD is dictating all this?
Whatever, it’s just re-arranging the deckchairs.
Wilson doesn’t have the solution: he’s part of the problem.
