Celtic appear to be accelerating their utter contempt for supporters. Customers, their anti-establishment fans.
While other clubs use social media to meaningfully engage, Celtic have a very different approach.
At this time of year social media is full of transfer speculation. Clubs come up with imaginative way to introduce new players.
NEW TOY ARAUJO
Celtic don’t. They tell fans about the favourite colours of their players. Especially if the answer is green.
Julian Araujo is being treated like a new toy by Celtic’s social media team.
The on loan defender speaks English and isn’t a complete banger like most of Paul Tisdale’s summer swoops.
After a year out in the could at Bournemouth, Araujo seems game for a laugh, enjoying his new found attention.
Green is his favourite colour ??

That tweet has been viewed over 800,000 times. Of over 300 comments none are thankful or appreciative.
Kevin McQullan is the driving force behind this type of content. As head of Marketing and Media he will consider this to be fan engagement.
HORRIFIC COMMUNICATIONS- THE CELTIC WAY
About as interesting as Gerry McCulloch giggling as he gets a foreign player to try drinking Irn-Bru.
At the aborted AGM in November a pre recorded interview with Michael Nicholson revealed three exciting plans.
The gormless CEO has been working on a club App, a revamp of Celtic TV and has plans for a membership scheme.
Two months on from the AGM there has been no further news on these thrilling developments.
It seems that Celtic are keeping tabs, weighing up their options and have asked to be kept informed about these developments.
In around three month Celtic will have to begin their Season Ticket renewal campaign. This year that could become very challenging.
16 days into the January Transfer Window, and we are tweeting a Celtic players favourite colour.

This is from the Wikipedia page on Jimmy McGrory and refers to events occurring 80 years ago. Some of the parallels with more recent events are rather striking….
On 24 July 1945, McGrory returned to Parkhead to manage Celtic. His first season proved to be difficult, with the side comprising an uneasy blend of veterans and youngsters. Winger Jimmy Delaney’s sale to Manchester United in February 1946, after asking Celtic for a £2 rise in his weekly wage, and the transfer of Malky MacDonald to Kilmarnock further weakened the side.
The season then ended in controversy when Celtic lost to Rangers in the semi-final of the Victory Cup, with numerous dubious decisions made against Celtic by a referee who appeared to be affected by alcohol.
Celtic made a poor start to the following season, winning only one of their first five games. A further defeat against Third Lanark in September 1946 saw a large number of fans protest outside the ground, although it was the chairman Tom White who was subject of their criticism and not McGrory. In March 1947, Tom White died and director Robert Kelly was elected as his successor as chairman.
For the next 18 years, Kelly would be the dominant personality at Celtic Park; imposing his will in the running of the club at all levels including having direct involvement in team selection.
It feels like we are watching a remake of an old movie….. same plot, different cast.
It may end in the same way as before, but quicker.
The sooner these horrendously shameless Tory parasites are gone the better.
We all know that the Board could have had a signed striker announced on New Year’s Day, (if not before).
Didn’t have to be a hugely expensive buy, the player might not have ticked all the boxes of the ‘trading model’,
but a recognised no.9 could have been delivered on day 1 of the transfer window.
Even a known, if aged, decent striker on loan (on higher wages) would have been enough?
In ALL the circumstances around the club currently, that would have generated a fair bit of positivity for everyone, for a change.
But, in its wisdom the Board – including DD – decided not to do that.
Irrational.
Irrationality goes hand in hand with stupidity. However, this Board is also rotten to the core.
The Board have no intention of signing anyone until they have sold Maeda and or Hatate,
Even then there is guarantee that they Will sign anyone.
This Season is scorched.
A bunch of corporate greedy sharlatans who are only interested in shoving their heads right into the trough and fulling their boots at the fans expense, stop giving them your money
Almost makes me think a bet is on from other sources if Celtic don’t win the league this season. It is absolute sabotage by the huns running our club. Oh and mr Wilson will get the job permanently because he also has no balls. Celtic supporters they call themselves. Don’t make me laugh McCoist is more of a Celtic supporter than this mob
Joe you are better than this.
Do you think every club switches off their Sovial nedia because it is the transfer window.
Yes we want players
But for fans to slaughter everything the club does is an embarrassment.
Editor: Hi T, you can have a 24 hour pass, I like to welcome guests in from Thick News to get enlightened.
I know it is a tough time for P67 and the lads with big Peter doing a running, hopefully he’ll soon by joined by his clones Nicholson and McKay.
Every day I draw breathe I will highlight the failings of all those involved in the Six Way Agreement of 2012.
I really fear for Celtics future . IMHO Desmond will never give up this fight with the fans. I feel he would rather see Celtic raised to the ground than make peace. His enormous won’t allow him to “lose” He ain’t the type to reach out for peace between the club and the fans. He is a twisted old man and as for the yes men around him they are to a man lick spittles.
His enormous ego !!!
Do they not realise how DESPISED and HATED that they are !
Definitely not. We as fans should have a Wall of Dishonour. Wilson,Nicholson,Lawwell,Desmond,Le Perit Merde,McKay, Michael Kelly, Desmond White,Ronnie Hawthorn.
As a support we are an intelligent, well informed group. The board is only realising this. Many of us could run Celtic. How hard is it? With a continual revenue one couldn’t go wrong.
1)Could we fill an 80,000 stadium? A stadium that could be used for Concerts, European finals etc.
2) Could we build a 300 room hotel ranging from £100 to £400 per night?
3) Could we build a fans Centre with media and business facilities?
4) Could we have an Academy like Strathallan School, get the best coaches from around the world give them a 10yr project.
How much money has been wasted? How much tax have we paid and why is that not on the park. The position of CEO at Celtic should be a philanthropic position with a fixed salary of £400,000 for the likes of those that have created, built elsewhere and are doing it as a Custodian of Celtic not a career.
