To the surprise of no-one Dermot Desmond missed last night’s narrow win for Celtic away to Falkirk.
Michael Nicholson, Brian Wilson and their usual cronies were at the game as Celtic’s problems were highlighted.
Martin O’Neill’s management skills can force wins out of a very limited squad. Wilfried Nancy failed miserably.
THE CELTIC/DESMOND MODEL
According to Desmond Celtic has a successful model, a structure that was under threat from Brendan Rodgers.
The former manager spent four months dropping subtle and not so subtle hints about the problems in Celtic’s structure.
When he found out that the plan for January Rodgers resigned.
Desmond reacted furiously. His statement won’t be forgotten, it will define his time at Celtic alongside his son’s outburst at the 2025 AGM.
8424 hours since Kyogo hasn’t been replaced.
3240 hours since the Summer Transfer Window Shut.
336 hours since the January Transfer Window opened.

Some fans thought that Desmond’s statement was a marker for the January transfer window.
He could order the signings of players, two strikers could have been in place on January 1 to highlight the wrongs of Rodgers.
WINDOW OF FAILURE
Two weeks and three matches into the window and Celtic have only added Julian Araujo to their squad.
There appears to be no urgency to sign players, Desmond again looks detached.
Celtic are 10 days away from facing Hearts at Tynecastle, trailing the leaders by six points.
Relying on continuing miracles from O’Neill looks like a very risky strategy.
Only Desmond can explain and justify the ‘strategy’.
Meanwhile Michael Nicholson and Brian Wilson sit in silence, leaving O’Neill to the media with increasingly unconvincing answers to justify Celtic’s failed model.

Despot doesn’t care, and if he’s a Celtic supporter then I’m a D.U.P. Creationist.
The board is populated by gelded self serving numpties.
I see no solution to this ongoing death spiral.
Give us our club back, gtf suits.
Why do fans give these cunts on the board their money when they know fine well celtic board will bùy fuck all how many years have they done this to us fans plus going for 10inarow they sold our best players and that was the end of our 10inarow and yous still give them ur money we watched that game lastnight with Falkirk and celtic were shocking scales trusty should never be playing for us the mistakes they make every game its shocking football to watch Falkirk should have ran amok with us as we all seen and our board must think that team are good because they got 3 points.SO ALL I SAY TO THE BOARD IS BYE BYE BEFORE YOUS DO A OLDCO RFC AND GET OUR CLUB LIQUIDATED..
Good god man, don’t you know what a full stop or a comma is?
All of the omnishambles cannot be doing Mr Desmond’s golf game and Pro -Am preparations any good …no way Jose ? The poor soul ! You don’t have to be Einstein’s great relative to figure out where the de Facto big boss’s priorities lie that when the biggest crisis to hit Celtic FC in a generation the great man is on some exotically located golf course playing the back nine ! The old expression ‘ fiddling while Rome burns’ comes to mind ?
wilson calls for unity but does nothing to heal the chasm between boards and fans. What the board should really worry about is not anger but apathy,.Why bother spending money when the board stockpile it as a rainy day fund. The rainy day is here get a striker in and a ball winning midfielder.
A board of snails – And Fu**in slugs as well !
