Ross Desmond did many things at the Celtic AGM except admit that the way the club is run is a shambles.
Speaking for the first time, thanks to an invite from outgoing Chairman Peter Lawwell, the son of Celtic’s largest shareholder struggled to contain his anger.
Some anti-establishment fans had got above their station and were criticising how the club is run.
CELTIC- A BRILLIANTLY RUN CLUB
Thanks to their compliant media partners the impression had been spread that Celtic were a brilliantly run club.
A model for other clubs to aspire to as they piled up the cash ensuring huge payments of Corporation Tax to HMRC.
Some fans didn’t appreciate that business brilliance. Over 400 groups backed the Celtic Fans Collective demanding change, modernisation. Bringing the club into the 21st century.
The Desmond family aren’t happy with that development.
Like the club Chairman they detest scrutiny, the suggestion that things could be done better.
I can’t believe the chaotic Celtic AGM, while it lasted.
The directors have completely lost touch with the lifeblood of the club, that is, the supporters.
They barely take responsibility for squandering a golden opportunity to advance the club one step, which is all the…

During his ridiculous speech at the Celtic AGM in November Dermot’s lad said:
Our focus is on what matters: improving this club step-by-step, systematically, without ever risking its future. Improving recruitment, investing in data analytics, upgrading facilities, enhancing the stadium and trying to make Celtic stronger in every way.
Criticism and advice are welcome and the right of every supporter, but some of what we have seen recently is not constructive, it is destructive and cynical.
Fans have been calling out and highlighting how poor and outdated recruitment is at Celtic.
With the club changing manager three times in 20 SPFL matches they have been proven correct.
DESMOND BACKED DOWNGRADING
After 13 days of the transfer window Celtic have signed a right-back on loan. Julian Araujo had been touted around a variety of clubs with Bournemouth looking for someone to help with the Mexican’s wages.
Michael Nicholson sold off Kyogo Furuhashi, Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn during the last two transfer windows. He failed to sell Daizen Maeda who had cleared out his locker at Lennoxtown.
By default Johnny Kenny is Celtic’s first choice striker.
Desmond Junior promised ‘ Improving recruitment, investing in data analytics, upgrading facilities’.
Those pledges are as hollow as Brian Wilson looking for unity while suspending 300 Season Ticket holders.
Martin O’Neill isn’t someone to double cross.
Today he’ll be asked about the ‘improved recruitment’ that Ross Desmond told shareholders about.
With the interim manager already a victim of broken promises O’Neill might be coming round to agreeing with the demands for change from those anti-establishment fans.

“ he’ll be asked about the ‘improved recruitment’ that Ross Desmond told shareholders about” —- Not sure about that Joe. The Laptop Loyal are revelling in the exposure of the incompetence of the Celtic Owner and his lackeys and Crony’s throughout the organisation. MON is good value so far for the hacks but MON should be being professional and be able to confirm that the club are finalising new recruits though I doubt that given MN level of decisiveness and competence. These guys have brought the Banter Years to our Door. Celtic is Grace Brothers!!!
Helping sevco fc
Boycott matches,STs ,stop buying merchandise, stop paying Celtic TV,if not nothing will change with this board, why would it, they’re coining it in, thinking they’re untouchable in their ivory towers, serious action is required to jolt this bunch of cnuts into selling up or wakening up to what’s going on around them, look at sevco FFS supposed to be skint but bringing in decent looking players ,they are really going for this league title this year ,while our board sits and scratches their arse, dithering and penny pinching as usual,if we don’t get some decent players in now ,we could end up third behind sevco or diets being 1st and 2nd,I can’t believe our board are so bad but actually I can , they’ve been like this for years.
Has Nicholson decided to leave and therefore refuse to bring in any new signings to shaft the supporters before he goes
Nicholson ‘could’ be a viper in the nest (not a born Celtic supporter) – I wouldn’t know personally but I think Wilson could be from what some might term ‘the other side’
One wouldn’t care if their custionship of the club was decent…
But it’s anything Fu**in But !
