Sky Sports are guilty of rewriting the Laws of the Game.
You don’t expect much in the way of standards from an organisation that employs Kris Boyd for his opinions but there are limits.
After Celtic dominating Scottish football for the last dozen years Michael Nicholson’s has created genuine competition for the top domestic prize.
It is hard to come to any other conclusion when you review the decisions taken by the Celtic CEO over the last 12 months.
SKY SPORTS AND THEIR TOXIC FAVOURED BRAND
Nicholson is of course a dedicated supporter of the toxic O** F*** brand. In 2022 he signed Celtic up to the Sydney Super Cup with their vile city neighbours.
About the only ‘achievement’ on Nicholson’s watch is enabling 2,400 away fans into the Glasgow Derby.
While the Green Brigade is punished on the flimsiest of evidence Nicholson rolls out the red carpet for The Billy Boys and the other anthems of hate that have resulted in UEFA imposing a suspended closure on the Copland Road Stand at Ibrox.
Sky Sports love the O** F*** brand. A title race, however it is manufactured for the SPFL Premiership trophy will keep the executives of Sky happy as they throw crumbs at the Scottish game.
There was barely a word of criticism about Steven McLean’s performance at Tynecastle yesterday.
Stats and trivia daft Ian Crocker decided not to mention how the brother of the match referee was once a promising reserve player at Ibrox. Or twice played for Northern Ireland at u-21 level despite being ineligible.

The Sky Sports treatment even extends to rewording the rules.
TAG TEAM MCLEAN AND BEATON
Backing up McLean and Beaton as they played their final card against Celtic by sending off Auston Trusty.
Beaton has joined McLean in coming off the FIFA list. It seems that they don’t like scrutiny of their performances when they have a lucrative gig for life under ‘honest’ Willie Collum.
With Sky willing to rephrase the Laws of the Game to justify decisions going against Celtic it is certainly game on in the SPFL Premiership.
And you can absolutely guarantee that mute Mike the Celtic CEO won’t raise a word of complaint as he continues draining £17,000 a week out the club. Plus expenses while on booze filled jollies across Europe. Just like his mentor, the recently departed Chairman Lawwell.
Weird choice of words from Sky Sports.
It’s not “Denying a Clear Goalscoring Opportunity”
The term is “Denying an OBVIOUS Goalscoring Opportunity”
The Trusty sending off was NOT OBVIOUS. pic.twitter.com/0Gf7TxRS3a

“…Michael Nicholson has created genuine competition for the top domestic prize…”
Must admit, all the prior claims that our Board threw the 10IAR season,
I always disregarded, as being a bit far-fetched.
…until this season that is. 🙁
The behaviours of the Board this season have been seemed irrational,
and when you ask yourself “who benefits?”, it’s typically not Celtic!
Very strange.
And when there are lingering references to 2012 and the 5WA,
it only reinforces the absolute necessity to clear out ALL the old guard at Celtic, ASAP?
Now that the board have grown a set finally and decided to appeal it will be interesting what the outcome will be. Only as a referee in Scotland can you continuously make blatant mistakes and seemingly suffer no consequences?! Wee Wullie will no doubt go on his VAR show with his wee mate from Clyde and say ” ach we made a mistake , it shouldnt happen and we will strive to make it right” ok HOW ? Will they get coaching ? If they are making the same mistakes over and over then is it incompetence or something else?
F**k knows – I don’t have sky sports…
I’d rather be ran over by a bus than pay towards them for sure…
Surely not too many Celtic supporters subscribe to it !

Off topic a bit here, but why are we so poor at defending set pieces, corners ,free kicks etc ,do we have a proper defensive coach who could set the team up to defend against set pieces,a team getting a corner or free kick near our box is like getting a penalty FFS,we are terrible at defending and have been for years,so what’s the answer.
My next point is we desperately need another centre back ,why can’t we recall nawrocki,he done ok when he was chosen to play and why don’t we give sinisalo a chance in goal,he is good at coming off his line for cross balls and his distribution is good so why are we playing KS every game.
The MIB are determined to get sevco over the line as champions and it’s blatant cheating again but if we played a bit better the refs cheating could be overcome but we need some quality players in and the ones we’ve got need to work a bit harder especially the midfield.
McInnes…” Celtic don’t get red cards in Scotland”.
1. He should have his baws kicked just like BR did.
2. When a team generally plays week in week out with 70% or more possession, it’s gonna be more likely than not they aren’t gonna foul themselves for a red.
3. We have zero chance of winning this league, simply because it’s too close at the top, that’s when the MiB really make the difference.
