Chris Sutton has called out the shambles that Celtic have dropped Martin O’Neill into.
Day by day the club is unravelling.
Michael Nicholson has been the picture of smugness for years as media partners repeat the line about how brilliantly run Celtic are.
Apparently they have a player trading model and are admired across Europe over how they do business.
Supporters know differently. They see laziness in every aspect of the club. A club that does the very minimum in every area of business.
NICHOLSON LEFT EXPOSED
The stature of Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers covered up a multitude of failings that are now being exposed.
Behind the scenes Celtic are a shell of a club.
O’Neill should be concentrating on starring in Q and A sessions with delighted fans as he recalls the glories of Sutton, Henrik Larsson, Neil Lennon and others.
Instead he is in the firing line, trying to cover up the failings of others.
This week he has been in front of the media on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Finding a way of words to deflect from a club incapable of doing transfer business.
Sutton has no need to deflect. In the Daily Record he called out his old club for throwing up O’Neill to fire fight on every front:
Celtic are extremely fortunate he is willing to step up in the hour of need. It’s taking a huge effort to get things back on track again but when I hear about everything else he’s undertaking at the moment, there is one thing that jumps out.
Celtic are taking the p***. There’s no other way to describe it. O’Neill has his work cut out putting things right on the pitch but to hear he’s also having to scramble around for players in the January window, working around the clock, constantly watching videos and talking to agents, it almost defies belief.
It also throws up a lot of questions. The Celtic board haven’t been great at answering them this season, that’s for sure. Brendan Rodgers quit and no one came out to explain it, apart from that infamous Dermot Desmond statement and a couple of cosy interviews on the club TV.
SERIAL FAILINGS
Nicholson’s two interviews with Celtic TV were far from cosy.
Awkward and uncomfortable would be better terms to use.
In more than four years draining a salary as CEO Nicholson has only spoken twice to Celtic TV. Both times Gerry McCulloch was told about the brilliance of Wilfried Nancy. Nicholson was so excited to be working with the Frenchman and signing the players needed.
Since their January 5 statements on Nancy and O’Neill there has been no further comment from Nicholson or interim Chairman Brian Wilson.
In terms of fan engagement, on Friday Celtic informed their Twitter followers that green is the favourite colour of Jullian Araujo.

Perhaps any game that we are 2 or more goals ahead with 10 minutes left, we should all get up and walk out. Season ticket boycotts must be considered if they continue to ignore us.
Aye John, if we’re 2 or more goals up in ANY match with 10 minutes to go I’ll be happy to walk out (switch the TV off) as I’ll be so worried we’ll ‘blow it’ but I get your drift.
I encouraged family members to stop buying anything and everything that the PLC was trying to flog us last summer and I wrote to the board with some questions, none of which have been answered.
NOT ANOTHER PENNY until we have a clear-out and replace them with competent individuals who are also Celtic supporters or at least not enemies like the current shower have proven for decades and the ex-Chairman with the ex bit 20 years too late in his Celtic PLC career.
Hope his retirement is woeful and atrocious in every conceivable way.

Ponder for a second what things would be like right now if O’Neill had decided to go for a nice long Caribbean holiday instead of coming back into this shitshow. Poor Maloney sitting out front getting pelters from every direction, maybe Lennon parachuted back in to everyone’s horror, or possibly Strachan trying to emulate what O’Neill did first time round.
And they show their gratitude to him by dragging their heels and obfuscating like this. If he walked and said ‘no mas’, it’s impossible, not one of us would blame him or hold it against him.
If I was Martin, I would just pull the plug and say sorry you have lied to me the last time. Tell the whole truth about the shambles he walked into and hold his head high. There’s a huge fear this legend could tarnish his reputation by the inability of the board to actually do anything positive regarding football. SACK THE LOT OF THESE CHARLATANS. I really fear for Sunday if Talbot score first. I will be watching it with fear at 1:30am OZ time.
It’s obvious that this is the titanic moment for celtic , but the captain Megalomaniac corporate greedy Desmond will not go down with the ship. Stop giving them your money
DD will only sell up if and when somebody makes him an offer he can’t refuse , the whole board have treated the supporters & Scottish football with so much contempt, that they truthfully believe everyone is wrong and they are right , DD will run the club into the ground, knowing full well he will still walk away with plenty off money , nobody in the boardroom can sign anybody without his consent, that’s why it takes to long to get deals done, he’s also a penny pinching miserable rat , and clubs probably go out of their way to avoid us , I believe we are stuck with what we’ve got until the end of the season , if supporters continue to buy season tickets , then it will go on a lot longer , at the end off the day or year regardless how bad we are , he’ll still walk away with millions, please god help us , HH

Mark, surely Martin knew what this board were like ,why did he even come back again,after getting ousted for Nancy,if Martin had a ounce of self respect he should have told desmond to go fuck himself,but no he comes back a second time and still gets treated like shit,wtf is he on,and he’s probably shiting now that if he bails out , desmond will probably viscerate him like he done with Rodgers,O Neil if he was a man at all should have told desmond to fuck off.
Red Adair couldn’t put the fire started by the board out. This is on heading one way and the only losers are the fans unless we do something quickly. One more loss and something has to give.
Nothing will ever convince me otherwise that 10IAR was deliberate managed sabotage.
If you remove that “anomaly” then we are going for 15IAR.
Whatever is in the 5WA forbids 10IAR being achieved.
The only difference is, they aren’t gonna let it go down to the wire for the next 10IAR.
If Celtic don’t win this title, we will go on another run of 4/5 or 6, there is absolutely nothing in Scottish football that can stop that due to the inbuilt advantage the club has.
Except of course, under the table agreements, compliant MiB’s and feckless suits.

When will we ever learn? As long as we fill the ground,buy STs and merchandise and Celtic TV etc ,this shit show will go on , there must be nowt as daft or gullible as Celtic fans,and they wonder why desmond and co love being on the Celtic board,I’ll tell you why because no matter what this board does agreeing to the 5 way agreement,never calling out bias refereeing,they know the Celtic through and through faithfulls,ie gullibles will still fill their coffers,wake up Celtic fans , nothing will change asking as we tow the line,buy STs,fill the ground up ,jeez what will it take to see the light and we laugh at the sevco gullibillies.
