The billboard message for Celtic duo Nicholson and Desmond

Celtic fans are finding new and innovative ways to express their anger at the serial failures in the boardroom.

Previously it was only in Europe that Celtic fell badly short of expectations.

During 2025 an unmanaged decline has saw them lose two cup finals and sit in third place in the SPFL Premiership table.

CELTIC COLLECTIVE PRESSURE

The scale of the demise has created the Celtic Fans Collective.

Without any formal moves 100 supporter groups got together, within two weeks that grew to 400.

Celtic have tried to dismiss the protests but the club is close to meltdown.

Never before have they have four management teams over 20 league matches. No manager has been sacked after 33 days.

On top of that the AGM was abandoned after less than an hour. Chairman Peter Lawwell has since resigned with the hapless Head of Football Operations, Paul Tisdale also getting out.

Under minor scrutiny corporate Celtic is crumbling. The Collective are just revving up.

The billboards above aren’t by the Collective but emphasise the strength of feeling from all levels of supporters.

Questioned about strategy and ambitions Celtic have no answers.

MIKE MUTE

Michael Nicholson stayed on mute for four years, afraid to speak to Celtic TV.

When he found the courage to speak up about Wilfried Nancy fans realised why Nicholson is shielded by the club.

He has nothing to offer. No personality, no charisma, when he walks into a room the temperature drops.

With another shambolic transfer window being played out on his watch Nicholson looks like the next fall guy.

At some stage Dermot Desmond will realise that it isn’t the people in place that are wrong. The system, the so-called model has been failing the club for at least a decade.

And that those nasty, ungrateful anti-establishment fans were doing him a favour by highlighting the inadequacies of his Celtic executives.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

    That’s good – especially the ‘tache! 🙂

Something as fairly innocuous as that billboard

    could have a disproportionate impact?

    Well played, whoever.

  • Batfink says:

Dermot Desmond is quite happy with these charlatans running the club. Dominic McKay was sacked for a successful transfer window!!

Perhaps a Go Fund Me to buy an advertising page in one or more of the failing SMSM , with similar messaging ?

Top marks to whoever was involved….Pile on the pressure to EVERYONE on the board & especially to Despot Desmond as the board flunkeys are mere muppets who bow to his every wish.
