2. 4P’s, or 5P’s indeed – and depressingly accurate.

   It’s the same tw@ts who got the club into this mess, and who are incapable of getting us out of this mess.

   And that includes this and future transfer windows.

   At best, the club will be treading water until the clearout has happened – and it may take some time?

   Nicholson and Tilsdale leaving in the immediate term would be an encouraging start though?

3. Past signings could make it 5 Ps. Recalling some of the loan guys is all I would give Nancy if they insist on keeping him. The 4 categories above are all we will get as no high quality, serious. ambitious footballer will come to celtic under the current regime.

4. I have supported Celtic since birth (76) and seen the worst of times. I have no confidence in the board, quasi owner or the manager but I am dismayed at the entitled attitude of many fans. In what other walk of life is someone judged on a few weeks performance? I think we all thought Ange was treated poorly by Forest yet here we are. I don’t think Nancy is the man to take us forward but we have to give him backing before we can judge him, otherwise we are as bad as the entitled fans we often laugh at across the city.

   Editor: Supporters are very entitled to question and criticise a decision made by Nicholson and Tisdale to appoint the seventh best manager from the Eastern Conference of the MLS. Nancy has trashed the fragile team spirit through his ridiculous tactics, unable to see past 3-4-3 that every competent SPFL manager runs right through. The ball isthe ball.

   1. This is a very valid point about Ange being treated abysmally by Forest, but there is another element of the comparison which requires consideration….. Forest’s fans and the more technically aware hacks down south could see as clear as day that the squad he inherited there was totally ill-suited to his style of football and had been set up by a manager with a very different approach, being built around defensive resilience and counterattacking play, but Ange tried to impose ‘Angeball’ before he could bring about any personnel changes, a pigheaded approach which had catastrophic results – 8 games, 6 losses, 2 draws, costing him his job and his credibility in England but probably making him a very wealthy man.

      Now we all know for a fact that Ange is not a bad manager, we’ve seen scintillating football from his teams, but there are times when the new coach’s ideas and the composition of the playing staff he inherits are so far apart that it just won’t work. That is the best case scenario at Celtic currently. There are only two realistic options facing us – sack him and start again with a “safer” managerial appointment, or let him totally change the squad in order to play ‘Wilfball’, so the $1,000,000 question is, do you trust Nancy, Tisdale and Michael Nicholson to transform the squad, or given the way recent transfer windows have gone, does that prospect make you feel nauseous because you suspect that doing that might cause so much damage that it could set us back years? Personally I’ve seen nothing in WN’s approach which gives me any confidence he could turn this around. Other opinions are available of course, and I’m open to hearing alternative points of view.

6. I’m a Tesco club card holder and longtime shopper there. As prices rise and quality,as well as portions decrease,i also found security staff were getting a little more irritable than they were previously.

   I thought it a good, and fair, idea to email my concerns to the people running the show there. So far,they have not revoked my clubcard,or banned me or the other 60 or so customers who supported my just concerns.

   To date,i have NOT received a reply,nor heard a statement from their board of directors,calling me an entitled,anti-establishment,trouble maker who is hellbent on destroying Tesco. None of the shareholders sons or daughters produced public statements condemning me or m6 fellow shoppers.

   I still like Tesco despite my complaint,and it may be coincidence,but the usual manager of the store had not been seen for over a month now.

   According to an ‘insider’,store performance had fallen off a cliff in 5 of the last 7 weeks,ans staff morale was at an all time low.

   My guess is decisive action was taken to correct the course that particular ship.
