  1. What have we been doing with recruitment? If this is true its a damning verdict on those responsible. why have we not sourced a striker? Celtic amateur plc

  2. Yang is an important part of the squad. Martin should be able bring out the best in him, allowing him to develop further.
We will not make real progress, however, with the useless parasites we have on this board. The deadwood needs to go, with the thoroughly inept Nicholson first on the list.

Many clubs use the undeserved title of “A club like no other”, but in my humble opinion, we do not deserve this self-proclaimed title in the manner it is meant. The only club that does is our friends, Athletic Bilbao. There are no pretensions about them and nothing dishonourable about their board and the way the club is run – unlike our board.

  3. If this is a six month loan signing along with other strikers to give us numerous options, fair enough. If this is the flagship signing, I’m apprehensive. Kyogo has scored one competitive goal since leaving and he’s 31 in less than a fortnight. If he become our top striker again we’d need hope he is like Captain Pike returning to Talos in Star Trek, magically restored to full health, youthfulness and vitality when back in his happy place. But this is real life not science fiction. Re-signing Jota was different, he was still only 26 and although he’s now got a long term injury that was just bad luck as much as anything. I also think what we really need is more of a barnstorming centre forward to convert the chances we make rather than a “Will o’ the Wisp” type of striker the wrong side of 30. Someone in the mould of Hartson, Sutton or Giakoumakis.

  4. Oh my god, Kyogo was a great Celt but his form had dipped before he left. Do we have any bloody scouting operation at all, we bring back previous managers, previous players, this board is simply useless but for stashing cash. The whole club hierarchy needs replaced as fast as possible, outdated stale suits, all of them. I do wish Kyogo all the best if he comes back as it is not his fault

  5. This board simply has to go!!! 15 months to replace kyogo and we replace him with an older kyogo an embarrassment of a club. We also need another striker no ifs no buts!!! The guy Bowie at Hibs is the future!!!!

  6. I would much prefer Giokoumakis back as he was being used mostly as a sub, while Kyogo was a starter but still wanted away. Been a long time and flopped in France and now at Birmingham while Gio has been scoring regularly

I’d rather pay a fee knowing that his goals would be paid back in full in getting us back to the CL

Can we say the same about Kyogo, the fans want the player he WAS 2-3 years ago, I didn’t think he was the same after his shoulder injury…a risk we don’t need to take for me

  7. I would much rather have Giokoumakis back instead..he has at least been scoring consistently since he left. Also had good reason to go being used mainly as the back up striker.

Any fee he would cost is easily made back in winning the title and getting back into the CL while he will also still have a resale value

But I would have to seriously question our recruitment if they do not have ANY quality strikers on their radar

  8. Forward planning and ambition sadly lacking in recruitment department if we’ve got such a thing.

  9. The problem is that Kyogo may look to cadge a lift from young master Sterling of the tribute act and may take longer than expected to get here ? All flights and trains cancelled from englandland because of the weather …talk about bad luck !

  10. Rodgers couldn’t play his tippy tappy shite football was no good for Kyogo ,where as Ange and Martins attacking style is well suited , no matter what you think we need a goal scorer and the wee mans a proven hunskelper .

Would have him back in a heartbeat
he maybe just the player to get us over the line and over this bucket fire of a season

  11. Tippy tappy shite won a lot of trophies for Rodgers and Celtic, maybe you feel trophies don’t count perhaps

  12. A loan deal ‘striker’ from the EFL Championship who’s hardly scored in around 30 games in France and Birmingham? Is this the “world class” PLC board at it’s best?
When we’ve been DESPERATE for a striker since Kyogo moved?
Only at Celtic, only by Lawwell’s puppet, in the absence of Lawwell.
It’s an absolute and utter disgrace. The clear-out has begun but it’s FAR from finished.
Nicholson, Wilson and Jamieson have proven they are no friends of Celtic FC and must be hunted out of CP. And the GB allowed back immediately with compensation for games lost due to our hopeless, incomprehensible board’s actions.
Hunt the lot of them and Desmond & Son too. We’re a whole lot better than that lot.

  13. Gracie in the sun is best pals. With the toxic one in Saudi.
The pair of sweetie wives. Make up wee story’s between them.

Davis at Birmingham worked with the toxic one . As we all know
They scampered together first time around in the middle of the night
    pair a creeps.

As for Kyogo, he was ruined playing his side passing game
His form declined big time. He couldn’t even raise a smile under the toxic One

We are in no position at this moment.. thanks to some disastrous board members
    And The toxic one..

So hopefully Kyogo, might just do us a turn…..with another 6 others for starters.

  14. A board bereft of ideas. A recruitment policy out of a Blues Brothers remake script. Beyond parody – as was recently noted elsewhere. 18 points and £4m wasted in 33 days. That has to be some kind of record. If despair wasn’t a deadly sin I’d be right down there.

    1. The record was $11m for selling Kyogo just before the Champions League against Bayern Munich. A record also held by Nicholson / Lawwell / Desmond.

  15. Deprive the squad so bad of a striker for so long and they know a lot of fans will take this

    Absolute shower of cheapskate c*nts

Probably a lot of sh*te anyway Scumsport lining up the Kyogo snubs Celtic in their hour of need headline in big giant capitals

  16. No way Kyogo will be back. “A dog doesn’t revisit his vomit”. I am talking about his cry baby reason to leave and his later ordinary performances for Celtic FC. Since he left Celtic, he has gone further backwards.

Editor: Nicholson spent six months trying to sell Kyogo, hardly a surprise that he decided that he’d be better off elsewhere.
