    1. His legacy as far as I’m concerned is running a rite good squad and replacing with project players even Rodgers mentioned it but the big won he fckd up was the covid season single handedly gave it to the scum

  1. He’s retired – Where’s that statue on The Celtic Way for him…

Hey he’ll be suicidal if it’s not up there !

  2. Lawwell is and was a pestilence. To attack our own fans is treason. To lie about the 5 Way Agreement is treason. Pulling in nigh on £1m PA for a company that turnsover £95m and being perfectly OK with that shows the selfishness of the rat. An utterly despicable person, unlike McCann,O’Neill. His name will be forgotten.

  3. Apart from 60+thousand Celtic fans , Peter Lawwell will go down in history as a great CEO , & Celtic fans will be vilified for daring to speak out against him , the thing that worries me is just how much influence he had in helping them stay in the Scottish League, I’m sure it was all about Murray sorry money , he probably thought he was helping the Scottish game as a whole , how wrong a decision that was, I’d love to know what really went on with regards to the meeting between him & the SPFL , Neil Doncaster , & the SFA in trying to broker a deal to keep them alive in one way or another , well probably find out who really shot JFK first , so many secrets within our game to try and keep them competing in a league which is more sinister than the secret service, MI5 , & the CIA put together, are our board really downsizing for the good off the game , or is it really that simple that our board is incompetent??? HH & A Happy New Year Joe

  4. His legacy looks like living on…

    Keep Sevco alive…

Let Sevco get 56 titles even though it’ll only be two…

Now he’s retired will he come out and say Sevco are a club that as of today are aged 13 years and 157 days old…

C’mon Big ‘Daddy’ – There’s no excuse now not to tell the truth…

You’re not any longer under the apron strings of Mr ‘Rangers’ are a great club’ Desmond !

  5. The biggest green Hun there’s ever been. This piece of shit ran the club into the ground whilst making himself and his vile son extremely rich in the process. This man robbed the Celtic support for 20 years. But anyone who thinks this filth isn’t still pulling Silent Mike’s strings in the background is sadly deluded.

    Not another penny.

  6. A DD style vindictive and often inaccurate assessment of Lawwell. The only bits I would take seriously are this year’s analysis. Even then Brendan Rodgers walked out on Celtic twice and the struggle between the two is omitted.
If Lawwell had left after 5 years he would be a hero, if he left after 10 he would have been genuinely regarded. He stayed far too long and in the end was part of the problem. His inclination to mind the money was sensible mostly but in some occasions cost us dearly. Just my opinion.

Editor: BJF can GTF back to CQN. Just my opinion.

    1. Nicely put Dear Editor.
More than a whiff of the CQN about that post.

If anyone thinks we have heard the last of Peter Lawwell then they have not been paying attention.
Our recently departed Club Chairman will be rifling his drawers for his ZOOM Log-in and password. Just as he never left the building during the Covid years Zoom will allow him to re establish his control of Michael Nicholson the previously well known Sports Lawyer and ersatz CEO of Celtic PLC.
No way is DD going to rely on The Silent Mikey to run ‘his Club’ for him.

  7. All the talk about the going rate and market value and best available for hiring executive personell to run Celtic is just airy – fairy. It is Pie in the Sky talk. It aint going to happen, so it aint going to work!
What is needed is a practical model for running the Football Club.
I believe we can stay truthful to our roots and be successful by taking the services of former players and managers to run the Club.
They know the Club, what it is about, how it works and how to make it successful.
There is no knowledge like the experience gained by those who have been there and done it!
    Take Martin O’Neill for example!
He knows football, he knows the Club. He knows how to win football matches for Celtic!
Make Martin Head of Football Operations. Let him choose his Assistant. Ask him to choose or appoint eleven ex Celtic players to work under him. Let them run the Club – the Football Operation. Got it!? Got it!?
Give the Lawyer and the Accountant their desks, let them do their work, pay them the going or favourable rate and don’t let them anywhere near the reins for running the Club. We have seen what they will do!
That way you get the best eleven, who have the interests of the Club at heart, want it to be successful and have the knowledge and experience to make it happen.
The best available and the going rate will be a continuation of their contribution to the Club they know best.
    Their Market Value priceless!

  8. Assuming O’Neill would agree. Give him fifteen names to interview. Let them negotiate their own salary and terms and organise the operation around the eleven who could make it work.
It is not Rocket Science. It is Football!
    Make Maloney his Assistant!
    Got it1?
